One widely voiced and justified criticism of Tenet is that the sound was designed for a very specific cinema, and in other cinemas the music sometimes drowns out important dialogue. Unfortunately this also holds true for the shiny disc. So in order to understand the plot (to the limited extent that you are supposed to understand the plot on a first viewing), I'd recommend watching it with subtitles switched on.
On my third viewing (first home viewing) I'm still wrestling with some of the time-travel logic. Which isn't a bad thing when it's supposed to be challenging, but is a bad thing when it's caused by inaudible dialogue.
