Yes it's weird that. The argument used to be that 3P was rubbish because it cost three times as much as an equivalent official figure, now it's "of course 3P is cheaper, they don't have the overheads or safety standards to conform to".

Indeed, I think it's probably economies of scale that have brought the price of 3P down because the better companies have really grown. However that's all the more reason for Takara not to be shown up by tinpot companies working out of a garage. If they can get it right then why can't they?

Save for some clever undercarriage paneling and rotating wing insignia, what's to improve on the older design?
And any panelling will no doubt become horrible back kibble.
In conclusion, I'm excited for this, just to see how they mess it up.

They seem to have fixed most of the issues I had with the torso, but I cant tell if it has grown a large backpack in the process.
At least on paper it seems to have retained a level of detail missing from most G1MPs for a while. Honestly I suspect I'll end up wanting on of these, but not for the price they'll no doubt be.

Looks alright, but I am not sure there is a need for a three figure MP Sunbow Starscream when the much cheaper ER one is out now. But then there is a three figure Sunbow MP Arcee coming out when there will be a much cheaper Sunbow ER one out at that time so what do I know!

Yes. Yes I will be unsurprised if it turns out that the big improvement they made for this iteration of the see- attack jet mold is a false, but cartoon-accurate chest cockpit.
