I put him on the shelf next to Magnus, even though that doesn't make sense in terms of the film. They do look really good together. A full set of figures in this style and I think I'd be done with Generations. They just pip Earthrise for all round display fulfillment.

Just a quicky about SS Optimus . . . Ebay seems to be flooded at the moment with so-called 'In Hand' SS86 Optimus Primes, but looking at the product description, they all say 'Chinese Version' or something similar. After missing out on all the pre-orders, I'm slightly tempted to pay the extra £20-£30 and grab one while I can, but are they the exact same figures the Western market will be getting, or are they different in any way?

"Chinese Version" sounds like code for Knock Off.

I would be astounded if this toy doesn't get a re-run. It would be easy money for Hasbro. So stay patient. The Legacy Armada Op also sold out rapidly and now has been re-run.
I cancelled my order due to the heel mis-assembly. While it does not affect the function of the toy I don't like paying a premium £90+ price for something not built right out the box. I will wait for the inevitable fixed re-run. It happened with Galvatron.

Yep. I spotted this too. I have a Smyths literally 5 minutes from my door, so I popped in and had a word with one of the staff members on the off-chance I might be able to Pre-Order it from there. Unfortunately not, as they, her literal words, "can't guarantee how many units come over on the boat", lol. As soon as it shows up as in stock on there, I'll be on it like a fly on poop!

I saw SS86 BB on the shelves at Smyths this weekend and was a bit shocked at how shoddy the yellow paint on the torso was (the long parts which frame the windscreen and side windows, the word for this is escaping me!) on each and every one of them.
Is this a common problem or just a bad batch? I guess yellow paint on black plastic is a tough one anyway, but it looks unevenly applied.

Following on from the tweaked re-releaase of Kingdom Galvatron in SS86.....
I am surprised Kingdom Cyclonus hasn't had a Studio Series 86 rerelease
I am also surprised Scourge and/or Sweep haven't had another go. If I could get one more of each I would be pleased and could do a hand swap so I could have a double closed hand Targetmaster Scourge

No, Phil, no. Don't encourage Hasbro to keep this nonsense going of slightly tweaked re-releases of the same moulds over and over. INTO INFINITY.

Same. One was enough. It lacks the charm of the TR Gnaw. Had it came out *first* my mind would have been blown.

Aye. I was so excited to find one when I was in Singapore, and reduced in the Christmas sales, too. And then I opened it and played with it and... eh. It's fine. But indeed none of the charm of its predecessor. Which probably makes it the best example of prioritising "screen accuracy" over everything else...

Sharkticons work better smaller anyway. It's okay to have Big Larry, but to me a huge schole of smaller sharkticons behaving like a swarm of piranha is far scarier to me than a handful of large monsters.
And you could get ten of the legend sized sharkticons for just four of Big Larry.
