A quick primer on which Pretender Monster is which Dinoforce member and some of the issues involved in using the POTP Dinobots to make them: The most obvious problem is that of our existing POTP Dinobots/Terrorcons the T-Rex (Grimlock) isn't the Torso and neither the Triceratops & Brontosaurus (Slag & Sludge) are limbs. So you either rearrange the combiner parts or pay for expensive remoulding

So you either rearrange the combiner parts or pay for expensive remoulding That's actually why I don't think they're gonna be particularly anaal about accuracy. The Seacons aren't terribly accurate either, for that matter. They worked with what they had. And unlike the seacons, there's ample evidence that the groundwork was already laid for the pretender dinosaurs. Barring Raiden (which would require a few new molds and massive retools of a few others), this is the last combiner for japanese G1 fiction. (We still got Monstructor and two G2s to go, though)

I think we can safely say, that whatever is going on here, it's a Grimlock torso. With a bestial theme if the text is translated correctly.
Which I think discounts those two, I'm afraid.

Would people cope with a Dinoking with a different bot as the Torso? Look st Leokaiser with the Sky Lynx Desaurus repaint.
Rather surprised the Japanese haven't retooled Silverbolt/Starscream as a Leozack for a more accurate Leo Kaiser either

Whatever this is, Phil will order within 60 seconds. By this point the CW-style combiners are only still going as Phil is willing them into existence!

I'd say that City and Gaia are probably extremely low priority as they never appeared in animation. And Ruination isn't G1. It's RiD so it doesn't count in terms of G1 combiners, like G2 does. Neither would God Neptune, Landfill, Bruticus Maximus, Magnaboss, or any other non-G1 combiner. Now if you're just listing every plausible repaint from a CW combiner, then that wasn't what I'd meant, but that's definitely a valid desire.

Yeah, the Liokaiser thing is an annoyance. Repaint/remould Starscream and Beachcomber and you've got the full team.
Still. That is Volcanicus's head and FoC Grimlock swords, right?

The problem with Leozak from starscream now, is it'd come with doubles of the other four. Which is fine! Lot of people missed the first set.
I just don't personally wanna pay nearly $200 for a voyager.
Would be nice if they released the full set, and also Leozak by himself.

I'm not saying they won't make them or wouldn't consider them. But they're not Holes.Just like that Megatron. I doubt there's very many people over there looking at their collection of CW/UW combiners and thinking "I need Guard City!" Like they would be looking at Predaking, Dinoking, Piranhacon, or Raiden. Just like I don't think anyone looks at the TR Headmasters and feels like the holes there are Sunstreaker and Sideways. Sure, nice to have and the best place for them, but I seriously doubt they're anyone's priority, when we're still missing actually prominent headmasters.

I think with those two they aren't holes as you say, but they have a desirability that comes from the mystique surrounding them. Very expensive rare original toys and among the last Japanese G1 figures made. They're always spoken of in hallowed tones. I'd probably buy them.
I can also imagine after doing three combiners in a fairly small toyline that Takara would want to do something else. Given the relative cist if the Neptune boxed set I would not be surprised if they go Black Zarak next.

Well that's boring.
I mean, okay, those new colours do look good. But not good enough to warrant buying the entire set again.
But that's good - that's money that I don't need to spend. Now to see if this Tuesday demands sacrifice...

Nice colours. It even makes Volcanicus look interesting, he wields the big swords nicely. But an easy pass.
With the SS '86 Dinobot rumours I wonder if this is one last run through of these moulds to squeeze a bit more money from them.

Does Phil need this? Hmmm..... This is one of the more useful pictures as it shows all the new and replacement kit: The swords scare me. Blades that long with clear plastic handles? Eeeeek! They're similar to the FoC Grimlock swords but different design and materials and much MUCH bigger. Good: Grimlock has a gun. Two in fact. They're pushing an AM Grimlock vibe with their tweaked design. Hands look to be King Poseidon's. Bit gangly. Think the feet are King Poseidon's too, with a new shell over the front replacing the pink toes. Which brings us to the bits in the middle. The outer parts are the adjustable bits from King Poseidon's feet. The rest is new. They're add on weapons in Grimlock's own modes and attach to the chest in combined form covering some gaps - and possibly strengthening the body? I could have done with a larger Grimlock gun, smaller sword for him and appropriate swords & guns for the others.
