I can't tell if that's a brand new gun that looks exactly like the one he already had, only significantly bigger, or if there's some really weird perspective at play that makes it look really large compaired to the one that's literally right next to it.

I *THINK* it's the same gun, but perspective.
It's painted a different colour but in at least one photo you can see enough of the handle to see it's on the red sprue still, with the back, and that looks unchanged.
I'll have mine Weds, will do a side by side with the guns then.

I find myself really hoping for a significant repaint of this one.
This really isn't different enough to justify buying basically the same thing as the same guy in the same deco a second time. Nor is it G1 accurate enough to justify it's existence, when they're probably gonna do another one in a year or two (because it's not accurate enough).
But it is different enough that with a unique deco, it suddenly becomes more desirable to me.

The pylons on Max's shoulders are annoying me on the Kingdom version, They're cast in blue, as one piece with the shoulder, and painted and the paint work on one of mine "could be better" Plus cast in blue the posts at the top are blue which is distracting!

Kingdom Magnus arrived today, he does look better than the Siege one. Though I do think the Siege White Prime looks better.

Okay so I previously thought that it was impossible to get an RiD Ultra Magnus out of Siege. But the more I look and think, the more I believe it's possible.   For Super mode, new head, new chest piece, new shoulders, and new shins. I think it'd actually be a pretty strong RiD UM update with just that. Fire Convoy from Galaxy Optimus however, I think would take so much work it'd be easier to make a new mold. |

No it's the cab to Kingdom Ultra Magnus decoed as Optimus.
This is probably the closest we'll get to an homage/update of the g1 Optimus toy

I don't understand the point of these stands. They don't make the toy look like it's floating. I've seen practical stands that are clear plastic that achieve that effect far better.
