Can you buy the Dianauts by themselves? Or do they only come with the vehicles? That looks amazing! EDC soldiers!!!

That's brilliant. I'm really intrigued if the Powered Suit is actually combined properly with Cog, or sitting there for effect. I may have to dig them out tonight and try it.

At least we know it's not an official base mode, if it was the robot head would be obnoxiously visible in some way.

30 quid for 8 small figures seems reasonable to me. 8 blind bag Lego figures is £56!

They're still £3 a pop, right? That's when I stopped getting them, anyway...

Clearly where Ralph lives they are £7 each as 8x7=56

Magnus and Cog being used as a base by Diaclone reboot Dianauts How very appropriate - after all, what became Ultra Magnus began life as a mobile base for Dianauts and their equipment. Karl

Finally opened Siege Ultra Magnus today, despite still having not opened POTP Optimus and Rodimus yet.
So I know it's my ignorance on what it was, but the Magnus robot bits are just pieces that you clip on. It's no different to the Fansproject City Commander really. I was expecting a bit more, and as such I'm very disappointed. I heard recently that CW Magnus has a 3rd party upgrade that gets you a transforming white cab. Might look into that.

Had a shot of some toys at the Glasgow meetup. In shock news Siege Magnus is great. Solid and chunky in both robot modes and the only TF with a 'change pants' action feature (yes, really). Only negative is the vehicle mode can't carry cars. I can see myself getting one.
Siege Shockwave is a nice voyager with added on unneeded tosh to make up to leader pricepoint. Good but only in a sale. Unless I get Shockwave Red Haze Syndrome if I ever see it in a shop!

Magnus was definitely more impressive in hand than I was expecting him to be - and it really is the inner white robot that does it. I'm regretting not getting one cheap last week now.

I just wish there was something to do with his trailer/parts while he was in basic robot mode. Because they don't hold together in trailer mode too well without the cab.
That's really my only nitpick about the functionality of the toy.

I just wish there was something to do with his trailer/parts while he was in basic robot mode. I agree, though it didn't bother me the way the left over trailer thing from POTP Leader Optimus did. I couldn't see the point of another Leader Magnus so soon after the last Leader Magnus but in hand it's quite different so I think it gets away with it. Whether folk need two different modern moulds of Ultra Magnus is of course up to them. -Ralph

I'm a bit of the reverse, because at least PotP Op's parts stay a complete trailer. (Rodimus's are a bit more sketchy.
It's easier to lose parts that only have a tenuous connection at best, or don't really connect at all on their own.

Surprise out of the blue, I found leader Cybertron Optimus.
My thoughts are complex, but as to if he'll appeal to you:
• If you like RiD Ultra Magnus (THIS IS NOT A TOY FOR RALPH) • if you like Cybertron Optimus • If you like Siege Ultra Magnus • If you like the concept G1 Optimus wearing costumes of other Optimi
Depending on how many of these boxes you check off will effect how much you like him. And he's kinda really weird. Not a bad weird, but not a good one, if that makes sense? His transformation is not at all intuitive. Being a UT retool works against it in that way, because he's got hinged and pinned panels that don't do anything at all, and are glued down (seriously. We're begging for pins in other toys to keep vital pieces from flying off, then this guy gets some on useless panels that are glued shut)
He's more partsformery than Ultra Magnus was, in order to make G1 Optimus look like Cybertron optimus. His front wheels specifically have to detach to go on his arms. He's also still got those really awkward black guns of UM's that I hate. Though they work better for him. (There's about nowhere to put them on UM that isn't awkward, here there are a few that they look more natural and less silly)
He's not terrible, but he's not great. I don't regret buying him, but he's so not worth $50 bucks.
