Need the BB Voyager because it's a great design and toy. Need the Earthrise Leader because we've been begging for this exact toy since basically the concept of articulated transformers Need the Cyberverse Deluxe because it's an amazingly fun little toy
A strong argument could be made either way for Galaxy Prime
So basically only Siege is pointless.

Still got a slight nagging that I went the wrong way getting Ultra M for that mould instead of Galaxy Prime. Nah. Compared to Cybertron/Galaxy Force that Prime is disappointing. The only thing he's really got going for him is slightly better articulation, but that's all, really. Magnus just feels and looks so much better in hand. In my opinion, anyway.

How many Primes does a boy need? At least 100. Or so I'd imagine. Ahem.

That's not evidence as to why you feel that what was once arguably the greatest Optimus toy of all time is shite.

It's crap. Utter crap. The worst Optimus Prime of all time. Looks and feels cheap and nasty.

Why would you chuck it out without even knowing what the new one is?? I don't think I'd pass it on until I've seen the new one, but I prefer the CW Magnus to the Siege one anyway. The Earthmode versions of all the other toys have been much more to my liking than the Siege ones, so I would expect this to be the same. Siege Magnus is nice but the hyperdetailing and battle damage are way too over the top. An Earthmode remould in the style of all the Earthrise ones would be very welcome instead.

But my predictions are: Ultra Magnus- Retool of ER Optimus Prime Why would you chuck it out without even knowing what the new one is?? I like CW and Siege Magnus equally as do they different things. The earlier one transforms without parts forming and has a wee robot pal. The latter reminds me more of the 80's toy and has the white inner robot. I'm genuinely clueless as to where Hasbro can go with a 3rd one. I can't think how it can be more Earthmodey, unless it's going back to the old idea of an Optimus toy coloured white. -Ralph

We've already seen it with figures like Prime and Ironhide though; it'll just be Siege Magnus with less hyperdetailing and slightly more earth-like vehicle panels. A minor remould.

I have all 3 versions of CW Magnus and both of Siege Magnus as it was so exciting to finally have 'proper' Magnus toys (the MP was out of my budget).
The Kingdom one will have to be something different for me to own a 6th Leader Magnus though this is a First World problem entirely of my own making.

I still say it'll be an ER Optimus retool. New G1 trailer that breaks down to become super mode armor for the ER Optimus cab retooled to connect. It's most of the way there, already.

Coloring the helmet silver but leaving those round bits black make them look even more like Mickey Mouse ears.

Magnus I'm not fussed about this - yeah, the extra G1-ness'll be nice for those people who between this and SS '86 are building up the whole movie crew, but I like what Siege Magnus had going on, so I very much doubt I'll bother. Can someone with better eyesight than mine explain what is different about this Magnus? -Ralph

Not a lot we can see yet, trailer is hidden, robot mode looks v similar. The main difference is the cab front on the illustration

He's got the G1 chest and shoulder pylon. Basically a mini-Masterpiece aesthetic again, I guess. I wonder if he'll have the buttflap?

Yeah. Given the amount of Diaclone colours in Selects there's bound to be one off this new ER mould.

They hadn't gotten on the diaclone bandwagon during CW. There was no reason back then to ever expect one.
This time though, given the massive retool to make it more G1, it seems this is why there was no selects diaclone repaint of Siege Magnus. It makes more sense to wait for this version.
But then every month that passes Siege's existence makes less sense.

I have the opposite feeling! With every passing month Earthrise makes less sense when Siege exists.
