I'm wondering if they're beginning to change dates for toys that aren't due yet because they're hearing the backlash. I genuinely think that Hasbro thought if they delivered toys before the given release dates we'd applaud them for their efficiency so they were ultra conservative. I know at the moment precise release dates are hard to give but I think they're surprised people would rather have toys late than early.

Slightly early is fine, *several months* early is not. How do they expect fans to budget for that??

I really think they thought we'd be over the moon about getting stuff early. I don't think they thought it through.

Stuff is generally getting released when expected, at least for the retail releases.
What Hasbro is doing, and they're not alone, is accounting for what happened a couple years ago during Earthrise, where wave one was released on time in late 1st Quarter, while wave two and three were continuously delayed until mid 4th Quarter, while hypothetically wave four was outright cancelled.
Where this gets screwed up are things that have inconsistent releases, like Selects, SG, and whatever Amazon is doing.

Which Soundwave mould? Siege or Netflix?

Hard to tell because the covers are artwork. Good question though.

It's a Cybertronian Laserbeak though, so that would imply Siege?

Good spot. The Ravage head looks more like the Siege one too.
Oh that's a shame.
Still, at least that tells us this release will probably have both the cassettes too, and will therefore cost one million pounds at current inflation rates.
Which will be explained as the tooling cost for the headband.

Getting on for two years now since Netflix Soundwave was released, I wonder how long the mould will be tied up with exclusivity?

I had a note yesterday to tell me Blaster, which was due in November, is now dispatching before the end of August and will be charged imminently. Slicer has also changed from February to October 17th, two weeks after Magnus. I expect these will all move again. And the dance continues! Good news Pulse tells me, SG Magnus will be ready to ship a whole month early! Wow, I'm so pleased! That means SG Blaster and Magnus in the same week! £100 unexpectedly out the window straight after pay day when those toys were supposed to be October and November! Joy unbridled! !!!!

I love this figure so much I might actually open it.
This is Magnus incarnate! The burning rage within the placid, steady-handed soldier unleashed. The bottled-up fury and shame of being passed over as Autobot commander finally laid bare. He is the Ultra Nightmare!

I'm repurposing mine with the new head as G1 Delta Magnus- Dinobot Slayer
Before the war, Magna Prime was a Knight of Cybertron, with a few very bad run ins with Grimlock, that nearly killed him.
After the war began, he gladly joined the Autobots to serve with Honor and continue to live by the Knight's Code (Honor, valor and virtue and all that). However, when the Autobots allowed the Dinobots to join, he felt disillusioned and questioned the honor of those that would accept these cretons, and left. Rededicating himself to destroying the Dinobots.

Slicer is here. Colours don't quite pop as much as they do in the promo renders. I'm looking at this now wondering if I'm getting these SG figures just because I've bought the others.
His deception logo is also a kind of lilac purple, not red like it is in the renders.
