I'm wondering if my love for the Shattered colours is because they were the best available garish colours in the absence of proper G2 ones.

RFC last week were saying a listing for Shattered Glass Rodimus has emerged somewhere distant. Google reckons Thundercracker and Cyclonus too.

Good lord I'd hope they give Cyclonus a new deco because the original was one of the worst things to exist.
But given they went with the worst option for Jetfire, a deco they had absolutely no reason to be bound to, I don't see why Cyclonus wouldn't be the bad kind of eye searing.

I think more people would want Cyclonus retooled into IDW Cyclonus, and bundled with T30 Tailgate, than would want an SG repaint

I haven't wanted SG repaints per se at all so far. I've picked up one or two of the toys - the Starscream was a fun colour-scheme and the white was infinitely preferable to buying another grey Starscream, and I picked up the Powered Convoy coloured Ultra Magnus because the diaclone scheme has always been the better colours. Oh, and I got the Goldbug because my Autobots didn't have a Goldbug and for some demented reason it was much easier to get the repaint than the original colour version. But I didn't pick up any of them because the box said "Shattered Glass".
If they do an alternate colours Cyclonus and it is affordable and a decent colour scheme I'd give it consideration. But it'll depend on whether it is any good. Probably wouldn't bother with an IDW Cyclonus - it is too similar to the regular version for me to be particularly enthused about.
