Yes, but SG Magnus based on the Armada mould one is pretty dull. This could be a way to stealth release Powered Convoy to tick another Diaclone repaint off the list. They'd sell more that way than just doing a white Magnus with some blue bits. There's some wiggle room for that looking at the notes on the SG Magnus wiki page.

The official SG UM is basically a laserrod Optimus retool in Delta Magnus colors. With another Laserrod Optimus update coming down the pike, it's logical to assume that this one will be a repaint/retool of that one, in Delta Magnus colors. However, they have not even remotely attempted to do actual updates of the original SG figures when actual matches are available and instead go with G1 in SG colors, then this one will be Kingdom Magnus in Delta Magnus colors. Probably with a new head, thus ruining the ability to use it as Delta Magnus. We'll also be getting SG Wheeljack, which is basically Wrong Slicer.

Megatron arrived today. Very odd toy. The insanely half arsed jet mode is still better than most Cybertronian modes Megatron has got. Comes with the stupid sword, but the box goes out of its way to not feature it.
The comic came bagged and boarded this time. The bags not really reuseable so makes a mockery of their reducing plastic aim and calling the board a board is generous to the thin bit of card being used. Still its progress.

Oooooo. Wings fitted in the screw holes on the back of the arms make robot mode look much better.

and calling the board a board is generous to the thin bit of card being used. Having opened it, more accurate to call it a thickish bit of paper. The non reusable bag is doing almost all the protective work.

My megatron came in today, and I think this is my favorite flavor of this mold, yet.

As stupid as it is, therecs something I love about the new alt mode. Like I've said before, it's genius in the way it combines clever and lazy.
But beyond that, it's far more intimidating than the tank. Imagining this thing about 20 feet off the ground, very slowly moving through a decimated city. That's way scarier than the techy tank.

No, but that says more about the other Megatrons than it does this one.

I read the SG comics that have come with the toys yesterday; all the rumoured wave two figures have featured at one point or another so I would imagine their in comic colouring is right for the toys.
Dlx Wheeljack Voy Soundwave Voy Blaster Ldr Ultra Magnus
Wheeljack is coloured as Action Master Slicer and although Magnus only appears cropped on a comms screen, he is definitely in Delta Magnus colours and not the blue/white one. Soundwave and Blaster are as per the eHobby two pack colours.
The interesting one is Prowl - features a lot in the comics, but no figure on the rumour. No bad thing really, Prowl's SG colours don't do him any favours.

Explain. EXPLAIN!!! (Sorry I was watching Daleks last night). RFC once did an expose where they noticed that whenever a Cosmos is announced, A LINE DIES. -Ralph What?! Madness! Cute little chubby Cosmos?!?! Nonsense!

Soundwave and Blaster are as per the eHobby two pack colours. The strange thing is that the character is called Slicer in the comic as well, which places him on the wrong team and in his regular colours. Regardless, if he and Delta-coloured Magnus are on the way, I'll be in on those two.

The weird thing is that Prowl suddenly has that black and white look in issue 4, but before that he has this really ugly green, blue and white thing going on. Or maybe in #4 he's just in Shadow. But mainly he looks like this: pbs.twimg.com/media/FAZQ1V9VEAc7im2.jpgI could have sworn Goldbug referred to Slicer as Wheeljack; I thought he was under cover and revealed as Slicer at the end, but I see I'm wrong.

Jetfire came in today, and he's even more disappointing in hand.
There's nothing visually interesting about him. He's dark. Dark dark dark. I cannot express how dark he is. His base color is a flat warm black. Itcs very flat. Almost looks more like a primer. No richness to it at all. He's accented with a super dark warm purple, that is so dark, it's almost indistinguishable from the base black. His highlights are in a gunmetal silver. These stand out more, in that being shiny, they catch the light better. But they're still really dark.
Even the red and purple used for the symbols are really dark shades that don't stand out.
The only things that really stand out in this sea of dark, is the green stripe on the chest armor piece, and the brighter purer shade of silver on his wing stripes and faceplate(s).
Now I don't know what Dark Skyfire looks like in hand, as I've never seen one. But I've heard from people who've had him that he's really pretty. This isn't that.
I still don't understand why Hasbro felt a need to be beholden to an FP repurpose when they could have chosen literally any deco they wanted and it'd sell because it's Shattered Glass.
I thought I'd probably like this on it's own merits, which is usually what happens with SG toys, and maybe move Siege Jetfire on. But I don't.

That's pretty much what I felt. It is solid Matt black all over. I reckon toyhax will save it.

Same here. Not hating it but they could have gone with purple for red swap and given us proper Decepticon Skyfire type of look. Its not like Blur or Megatron look that different from their retail releases and they could have gone crazy on the chest armour so that it didnt look to similar to SG Starscream (at least in box)
Even sticking with the black still make all of Jetfires red bits purple and or green and you have a far more interesting colour scheme.

Starscream is the best use of this mold. It looks the best of all the siegekers (objective), but it is physically the best. It's the only version I have that has zero problems. Every joint and hinge is tight, every tab pegs firmly, every panel lines up, nothing pops off. I would sell every version of this mold except this one.
Swords are terrible, though.

Okay so. I've never had a version of this mold that wasn't defective somehow, apparently. But like. This hasn't made me do a 180 tournaround on my opinion? Because it is still the worst and laziest altmode in a $30 toy we have. But when everything works right and it has a clean and flattering deco, it's a decent robot.
As for Jetfire, if I had my druthers, I'd have probably ended up giving him the normal Jetfire deco, but swap the white for a richer glossy black. Though I'd prefer an entirely new deco. Maybe one that makes a nod or two to the pirate deco macross
