That's a bit of a head scratcher. I suppose you could use it for that, too. Bit pricey, though, when a plastic fork works just as well. Still, whatever the case, it's probably better than an eye-less horror Jan figure. |

While I don't doubt the appeal a stand has to certain people, it's still a lackluster incentive.
I don't think you'll incentivize anyone who wasn't already going to buy this, with a stand.
Ah well, at least it's significantly better than more blast effects, even if it's not very exciting.

The whole 'unlock' thing seems bad form to me. Just show your product, Hasbro, as is. Unlocking stuff as you go along seems to piss on the folks who backed the product early. It's shinanigans.

You misunderstand.
These are incentives to encourage people who are on the fence or might not otherwise have gone in.
Basically "If we reach this many backers, then we will be able to afford to include X!"
It's impossible to anger those who went in early because they get an extra accessory/toy later in the game.
The other teams like Marvel seem to offer more enticing incentives, though.

Yeah. I think this is already there. There'll be a surge in the last week plus 'mysterious' last minute bumps. I haven't backed yet, but I will do before it finishes. I expect there are others like me.

I'd say adding a new core class mold or a deluxe repaint/retool to the set would make a much more enticing incentive, but there's almost nothing from that line that isn't smaller than a voyager, or part of a combining set.

The way Victory Leo in jet mode is integrated really is a shame. It doesn't seem congruent with the flow of the alt-mode. It'll be compounded further when it's painted yellow.
I understand that keeping in line with the original is the intent, but this slavish adherence to previous toys and media designs is holding modern toys back.
Edit: I realise this is a similar rant to earlier re. heads being exposed in alt. mode.

To get to 11000 it needs 2795 in 20 days which is about 140 per day
To get to 14000 it needs 5795 in 20 days which is about 290 per day
Of course we know it won't quite work like that but even so those numbers are useful!

I know that I won't get charged until the end of the funding period whatever happens, it just feels psychologically better to save my spending until later. Makes no logical sense, I know, but with the outgoings I've had at the moment I'll just feel happier leaving it. |
