Share your hay fever related misery here.
After being out for a while and enjoying the sun, I have retreated indoors as my nose was about to explode. Damn it.

I think I had hay fever last week. I just suddenly woke up all congested with a semi-sore throat and coughing and all for about a week.
Although I'm sure smoking aggrivated it. I don't smoke regularly any more. But on occasion, I do smoke, drink and be merry - and I think I smoked a tad too much last weekend; especially since I don't recall ever having hay fever...
oh isn't it Hay fever and not Hey! Fever! ?

It's the "ads by Google" at the top of the page. The Adbot is a program that tries to advertise products and services of relevance to users in the thread, often with surreal results.
My hay fever has been wailing mightily upon me these last few days. In a way it's a good thing because it means my immune system is stronger than ever, but on the other hand a box of 100 tissues now lasts me 3 days, tops.

My girlfriend always interprets her daughter's hay fever to mean that she's allergic to their cat - and it's always the same thing: Girlfriend: BUUuuuuhooo! Oh my tragic God! My poor cat! I must give you away!! Oooohhh!!! How I cared for you... ME: Honey - she has hay fever. It's got balls to do with the cat. Girlfriend: No! Impossible! It must be the cat!! Buuuu!! I will never have any happiness in life!!! Me: Sweetheart - it's hay fever. Girlfriend: Buuuu!!! Happily - after doctors confirmed it was hay fever - the cat stayed. Damned cat should thank me... Prior to that it was the dog of course But the dog is mine, doesn't live with the girls... My hay fever is gone (thanks Goodness:) ) Pete

'Planets in Space' says Adbot. I agree with the Adbot. Entirely the best place for them, if you ask me. A little child, not very interested in looking at peregrines through a telescope, pointed instead to the sky and kept demanding of me, "Can you see planet Earth up there?" Bless. Martin

Fecking hay fever! I texted Nick for hlp, asking him to transform Animated Leader Megatron into helicopter mode so that the WHUP WHUP WHUP action of the rotor blades would create a draft to banish the pollen with, but he said he couldn't as he was on a train with a Mexican golfer. Darn it.

Might be worth trying the "Piriteze One a Day" tablets - I have found they have done wonders for me this year. Took one before I went out this morning and I've been pretty much fine all day. They are good stuff (and also I don't get the nasty side-effects I get with things like Benadryl).

I've only had hay fever once in my life, and blessed be thy name, it made me miss REM at the Isle of Wight festival 2005. I loath REM, and didn't care anyway, but I got to profer my precious wrist-band to several REM-loving lovlies. To no avail, I was snotty as hell, but they were at least polite.

Prescription here.
Last two renewals they've given me slightly different tablets that don't seem to work so well.

Hay fever was fine until last Tuesday when it really started to bother me. Today has easily been the worst day I have had with it for a few years. Staying inside for the rest of the day.

I noticed it being bad this morning, having slept with the windows open last night. I have fortunately escaped the worst of it this morning through being in the air-conditioned library (another reason I prefer the Andersonian to Livingston Tower - better Life support. Unfortunately my home does not have air-con and will likely need the windows open this evening too...

So far I appear to be doing not too badly this year. Although this maybe because I have been keeping myself thoroughly medicated since the end of May. Being aware that hay-fever is one of my asthma triggers - and being in a new area this summer I am taking no chances and am planning to stay on the meds until I am sure that we have subsided back into winter. Not taking any chances.
