Right, toy colours Springer then. Which looks really dull because it doesn't have the sticker detail of the original. I don't know what to think here. For sure, Toyhax will finish this off with the right stickers, but given he's essentially in with the SS86 movie crew in terms of display and they're so far off toy colours, is it worth the hassle? I guess he'd look good in a one on one tussle with toy colours Cyclonus. The price isn't too bad for an exclusive, but I guess there's no remoulding in this one.

I just spotted that Autobrand- what is that? Do they all have it as a Wrecker brand? Yup, blue Autobot symbol with a hammer on it

Ah, that's it. The colours are all in the right places, but they're all slightly off. The grey and green are too light and the yellow too dark.

I feel like if they had gone with a once a month release schedule, they could have extended this line quite a bit further.
Continue the two packs with the voyagers, but with legends/cores instead of deluxes. I mean there is no shortage of wreckers for any size. (Though thanks to legends/core mold selections offering poor matches in general, there are less to chose from there. Which works outwell to putting them with voyagers) With two packs, they could knock out a ton of them with a relatively small amount of sets. And they could finish it with PotP Optimal Optimus as Primal Prime & Apelinq.

If this is a Wreckers collection, what's with the skeleton beasties? New Recruits. See the Amazon Screenshots on pages 2 & 3

They could have also thrown in a Rack n Ruin two pack consisting either of two Fasttracks or two Refraktors, with new tooling to conjoin them.

Yeah I think that's what I'm getting at; if you're gonna do Wreckers just do Wreckers! All of them! No boney extras. For the record, I don't give a frak about the wreckers. They're getting proper symbols and put on their respective proper shelves. But I'm all in for the fossilizers. Give me fifty of them! What I'd do though for a two-pack a month, with only dropping bulkhead because I genuinely don't understand his inclusion while he's still on shelves- 1 springer/vertebreak retool
2 pyro (cw hotspot repaint)/verity carlo (SS86 spike retool)
3 whirl (t30 repaint)/packrat (kingdom rattrap)
4 roadbuster (t30 repaint)/g2-tfp seaspray (tr repaint in purple)
5 topspin/twintwist
6 impactor/spindle
7 leadfoot/Masterdominus
8 rack n ruin (fasttrack retool ×2)
9 Tigatron (agent ravage repaint)/Fractyl (terrorsaur repaint)
10 Ironfist (siege hound retool)/wingfinger retool
11 Tap-Out/Glyph (er cliff/netflix bee w/toy head)
12 Primal Prime/Apelinq (potp opop repaint)

Because of course. Why do the two characters who are an actual set as a twopack when you can split them up across different stores and lines, while you're other two deluxes are two packs with deluxes of new characters?
Why do something that makes sense, when you can make as many people mad as possible?
So what can we do to torque off the maximum number of people? I know! Make him a twopack with Wingfinger as Fractyl!

Ooops, someone has been a bit naughty and stuck up the images for a later set. We've seen the figure but this shows the top of the statue.... There's some speculation that this is meant to be Xaaron. My own speculation is that it really doesn't matter, because whoever it is won't be represented with a toy release. And it's more likely to be a new character, Wrekkar, founder of the Wreckers! Or something. They're pretty hit or miss with names and bios right now...

This Springer's not doing it for me. I don't know why, but I never really considered his comic colours to be much different from what we see elsewhere. I know that they are, but my brain just never really interpreted it that way - certainly the colours aren't as different as, say, Galvatron's were, and they could easily just be put down to the colourist's interpretation of the colours. Whatever the case, it's money saved, so that's good.

Rumour has it that the 'hammer' to be collected across the 5 packs is a cardboard "life size" one. That...can't be true.

I understand them wanting to get more out out the fossilisers as they're the new thing, but surely weaponisers would make more sense? They look like guns and rocket launchers. And you could conceivably have two Slammers (or whoever) that would combine into Rack n' Ruin. Split them across two packs and you make people buy more toys also!
I'm just glad the mammoth has the good name, as that's the one I'll end up with.

I think Springer wuld work better if the colors were tweaked. Grey a bit darker, and the green a bit richer. Yellow is fine IMO. And add a few paint apps to break it up a little.

I would actually like that if I hadn't bought Legacy Bulkhead.
Hey, do you guys remember that weird thing Hasbro kept doing with Studio Series Optimus? Where they made it not screen accurate? But before it was actually released, they announced and showed a retool that WAS screen accurate? And then before THAT was released, they announced and showed an upgraded version that came with his trailer and weapons? And the whole thing felt like they were repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot?
This almost feels like that. Only it's both their own foot and ours they're shooting.

I know what it is. I know why I like this better. I thought it might be the black thighs, but it's the windows! I always thought the worst part of legacy bulkhead was the windows being so translucent. These being almost opaque really helps him look not...completely hollow.

This seems fairly pointless, but is still more interesting than Legacy Bulkhead which I have yet to buy.
Probably another to wait and see if I find it cheaper, but I can see myself getting it eventually.
