I think it's more about using each tooling x number of times to make them cost effective, although those fossilizers have been out a good few times in one guise or another now.
Except Wingfinger. Cos everyone knows he's crap.
I agree though. There is quite a bit of remoulding in this line, more than before for the Amazon exclusives, so going back to the weaponizers and making a Rack N Ruin would have been so good. Especially as he's been in Cyberverse, it's not like he's an unknown outside Marvel UK now.

The red haze has shifted so I cancelled my pre-orders. £57 for a 4th Siege Impactor I cannot justify when I don't want the fossiliser. Siege Springer is good enough. If anyone splits a pack and only wants a fossiliser, I'd rather get Leadfoot that way. Bulkhead is not a fun toy.
Besides, I need £150 for a Lego Optimus Prime. Ahem.

The deco on this Bulkhead makes the figure look way way better than the retail version, but I think I'm safe. Don't need that. I'm in for Leadfoot, but that's it. Phew. Not too bad. Right then, let's have a look at the Velocitron set and see what the damage will be there.

I actually quite like this new Bulkhead deco. It helps to break the mold up a bit, and certainly looks more interesting than the plain green of the original. I'm not sure I like it enough to bother getting it, mind you - although if I do end up getting a Bulkhead it'll probably be this one.
I am nevertheless disappointed that this is just another green Bulkhead - there were certainly other, more interesting decos that they could have gone with, not to mention remolds. But I guess they're saving those for Selects, or something.

On a side note, i think I would find Bulkhead a little more endearing if his vehicle mode was a bit closer to AoE Hound's. I think it would have given him more visual personality, and been a little more curvy. |

So what happened to Topspin? Bah I wanted them both. If ONE had to miss out, better it were Topspin rather than Twin Twist who was a ****** to get during Titans Return. Does make me wonder if he was pulled for a Wreckers Round II? If they were intending to release just Twin Twist all along they should have just bunged the much demanded Titans Return version out again! |
