Voyager Arcee?
I've come to miss the days when G1 Arcee was but a pipe dream.
It's almost preferable to this new never ending cycle of constantly tweaking her.

I read that as Voyager meaning increased complexity of transformation to shrink the backpack, like Hot Rod was a voyager - not voyager as in a bigger figure.

Yeah, some good, some interesting things to be dug out of that. Not keen on the idea of Thunderwing being a Titan at all.
I don't mind the Arcee revisions so much. In a way I'm surprised they didn't do to begin with that after realising people would still buy the Hot Rod, especially coming so close to the WfC release.

Yeah, that was my interpretation of it also, and I wouldn't mind that so much. Just as long as that was that. And then we'd be done with Arcee revisions for a year or two. So that we can room for more different female characters in the line. Of course, what I *really* want is the Leader class version that they were planning for in case Arcee won the Power of the Primes poll. But that would be new and frightening. |

Oh yeah, I understood what they meant.
It's just... Please move on! They've had four goes at this design (five if you count Masterpiece), two of them within two years of each other, and the last one was actually not terrible (unlike the first two).
There are characters equally or more popular than her, who've gotten little to no attention, who are more deserving of that slot.
Instead of a fifth G1 Arcee, why not our first real Nautica?
Or Thunderwing? The last go at him was thirteen years ago, and it was a tiny deluxe!

I was thinking yesterday that it's been odd that they didn't have another go at Nightbeat. Tiny Titan Master or Bumblebee retool, and yet Minerva gets a better update?
I'm all for them nailing that Arcee though. Just update the Animated one to a G1 aesthetic!

I shouldn't be too cynical since we've had a fair few female characters of late, but all the same, we're still also nowhere near parity with the male characters, and it does feel like we're only allowed a couple of main female characters, and it's been dictated that that shall forever be Arcee and Elita-1. And that anyone else is a bonus we should be grateful for... |
