This is from the franchise that, at the very beginning, had Prowl/Bluestreak and Ratchet/Ironhide but decided to make two very different robots the twin brothers.
Not that there was anything wrong with it of course.

Armada Starscream is in Legacy, Hotshot's in Evolution, Prime's on the Evolution poster and we have a listings leak for F7217 Leader Armada Megatron EAN: 5010994207786 That's a decent showing by Armada, but what else really needs a redo?
If there's Starscream, then Thundercracker and Skywarp are likely. Hotshot is likely to get a Powerlinx version And Megatron means Galvatron.
And Armada Wheeljack from Sideswipe is an Open Goal
But are any other moulds likely?

I dunno, but I do actually have some experience with Armada toys because it was their blocky designs that pulled back into Transformers toy collecting.
Some of the figures are very bizarre, but others are superb, but sometimes the articulation isn't up to modern articness. (I seem to remember Energon toys being similar, but Cybertron toys being improved in that respect.)
I think the problem has been, from my observations of you people, that the updates they have done so far, like the Armada Megatron a while ago, lack the excellent play features of the originals.
So where updated Beast Wars figures don't offer much over the originals, updated Armada figures might, if they manage to replicate the play features.
Either that or you've got Collector's Fever and have lost your mind!

These are NOT for children, these are for collectors, SERIOUS ADULT COLLECTORS. There shall be no play here! No fun! But yeah, even if they didn't unlock some sort of feature they should still be packaged with Minicons, just because. Although given how poorly-realised Needlenose's Targetmaster partners are they'd either be terrible, or the cost of the figure would have to rise by a tenner or more to pay for the Minicon... |
