CANNOT. WAIT.
Loved this film as a kid. Sure, it may now be even more apparent that it's a poor man's Lord of the Rings than it was already, but it was a lot of fun and its universe was ready to be explored. I'm looking forward to this.

Until I read The Lord of the Rings at university, non-humorous fantasy did nothing for me, so I had (and still have) no appreciation of or nostaglia for fantasy films from last century other than the likes of The Wizard of Oz, Labyrinth and The Princess Bride. Even Dark Crystal I appreciate as a work of art, but it doesn't really entertain me. So sadly I didn't get things like Willow. If I try to watch any non-silly fantasy from that era of cinema I just find myself wishing for talking caterpillars and David Bowie musical numbers.

Really enjoying this so far. The credits soundtrack is a nice bonus. EDIT: {On ep.5. Not really a spoiler, but tagging anyway.}Really apt opener for the first few minutes. Looks like it was filmed at Tintern Abbey. {And... }Looks like they filmed in Puzzlewood too!

Well now that really angers me. Does it really cost that much to just leave it available and sitting on their servers? (I mean, yes, it isn't free, of course there's a running cost. But for someone like Disney...)

It's for tax purposes. Started with HBO MAX yanking stuff. The current Disney guy is ruthless and has been firing as many employees as possible since he took over.
It's more annoying for Disney Plus made shows as physical releases don't exist so when stuff goes...

Ah yes - that makes a lot more sense. After all, why would those creatives deserve paying more? They did their job, now it's Disney's job to rake up all the profit!

It's pretty common with streamers now to give a show a big push and then cancel quickly, sometimes within a week (that Mark Millar Superhero show). It's why I don't watch much streaming originals.
Willow at least had over 6 months before effectively being wiped.

I am. My goal is two episodes a night. Then hit Diaries of A Future President S2, with as many as I can do a night.
Since they're like, 22 minutes, I was saving those to have something nice to watch while sitting in my car before work (when i finally my car back from the shop).

I gave Willow a watch before it gets removed from Disney+. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. It did have some very bland main characters, but the ones with a personality made up for them.
I have also seen someone mention that it is supposed to be The Making of Willow that is being removed from Disney+, but I suppose we shall see once the cull date approaches.

And I finished Willow, and found it to be the opposite of Picard S3. I quite enjoyed that it wasn't bogged down with nostalgia, and instead got to be it's own thing.
