2024 Run #82/100. I bunged on the 'Apollo 13' film soundtrack and off I went. Very quickly, I saw an unusual sight: a Police car blocking the road and an officer stopping all vehicles to talk to the drivers. I ran past without being stopped and continued on my 5-mile circuit. Strangely, the surrounding roads were choked with gridlocked traffic for about 3-4 miles. I had never seen that before round here. I enjoyed the novelty of being faster than cars for the first (and probably last) time ever. After a few miles the Police appeared again! I did not expect to turn the corner to find the bombed-out husk of a car which had been burned to a crisp. No vehicles were allowed past but I kept going. Quickly, another Police officer appeared in the middle of the road, but I kept going. Upon arriving back at my start position more Police were stopping traffic so I called it a day and went home. -Ralph |

I ran for the first time in 5 months yesterday. It was hard and I stopped a lot but feeling very good about myself. Must get back to a regular cadence.

Hope you've been able to get some sleep! What happened?? Honestly no idea. Was sore on Monday, and got progressively worse as the week went on. Couldn't get upright on Thursday after sitting down without about four attempts and needing to use a table and chair to help me up. It's the knee I have fucked before and the one I hurt back in May/June time. Gel and borrowing the Elder T's co-codamol for his back ensured sleep, still interrupted but better than Thursday night. The rather annoying thing is the limp/shuffle I have been doing has hurt my back. Falling apart here. |
