Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One opens on Monday, but I have too many meetings in my work calendar.

I wish no harm on this Blippi creature, but he is not viewed in this household.

It is safer for all if Blippi is curtailed.

ROTB finishes its run with early morning showings this weekend. Booked for my *8th* attempt (due to ill health) to see it on Saturday morning.
Then a few hours break before IMAX Mission: Impossible (I hope).
Fingers crossed my body lets me.

A fair response given that it's new Blippi and new Meekah. Original Blippi and Meekah are much more natural performers.

Mission Impossible was decent, though the experience was dimmed somewhat by every major action beat/wow moment already shown in the trailers.
Great fun though and more of a 'end of chapter 1' feel rather than just half of a film (which is what a lot of 2-part big films feel like).

I reckon I need an MI marathon. I cannot work out which ones I've seen and which ones I haven't. It doesn't help he did those Jack Reacher ones too.

Jack Reacher 1 was fun. Jack Reacher 2...completely missed the point of the character and was a masterclass in how to detonate a franchise. For the best that there wasn't a 3.

I reckon I need an MI marathon. I cannot work out which ones I've seen and which ones I haven't. It doesn't help he did those Jack Reacher ones too. The first three (the numbered ones) are standalones. Ghost Protocol, Rogue Nation, Fallout and Dead Reckoning are all connected and need to be watched in that order. Which makes it a shame that they aren't numbered. I love them all except the third one. Martin

That's useful to know, ta. Amazon were doing a Blu-ray set of the first five for a tenner the other day. I might start there.

Oppenheimer: good, though it helps if you know the background going in.
Barbie: I remain unconvinced by Margot Robbie as an actor and it's not subtle (I got the point of the film the first five times it's battered over the audiences head) but it's fun, the production design is stunning and has good Kenergy.

1. Shin Kamen Rider. Most interesting superhero film I've seen in some considerable time. Both thematically, and visually. It has things it grapples with exploring about our humanity, and how we relate to it. I'm not sure it always manages to be entirely clear in what it is trying to say, but I respect it for engaging with something thematic at all. (It is also a surprisingly visually arresting film. There are composition, staging and set design choices which fascinated me). 2. Tenet 3. Glass Onion 4. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 5. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania.
I am saddened now, that I've seen no sign of Shin Ultraman coming out over here yet. Both Kamen Rider and Godzilla have been fascinating takes, and I'm very curious to see what the Giant of Light is like through this lens.

Snow White ('Disney 100' re-release). Animation is gorgeous on the big screen.
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Something Something. I think it was ok but I nodded off a few times so not sure what was going on. I was very tired and in pain. I was usually woken up by a toddler who was running around the front of the theatre a lot.
