This is part of the problem with it being a halfway house between Euro and Prime Skyquake: it's got Prime's colours but can it also get away with doing the Euro colours which are just a different shade of green? Would there'd be a new head? MW Starscream - Evolution head, Euro head or G1 Starscream head? We believe Dreadwing is coming - might that take us an odd direction with the ATB?

Of course it can get away with Euro colours on a seperate release. Hasblowwww has trained us to accept barely changed repaints. They sell. Remember some of the Netflix line...the Netflix line...the Netflix line.

Adjust the existing colours, throw in the black and bronze and throw in a new head and I think it will look more than different enough to sell.

If the engineering on Needlenose looks like he could be (p)retooled to have a cockpit chest, I genuinely don't think I'd mind! If he had a fake cockpit chest then the jet underside would have difficulty locking on to Skyquake

I wasn't thinking fake cockpit, was wondering more if there was conceivably a way in which the real cockpit could end up on the front.
I haven't handled Needlenose, but based on looking at a few photos it looks like it would require a significant retool though, so I'm guessing not.
Also, slightly regretting looking at the photos, he looks really good stood next to Siege Spinister and it's causing my resolve to crumble...

Skyquake is the worst transformation since RotF Leader Prime

That... is concerning. RotF Prime I could understand because of trying to achieve a movie-accurate look whilst still being able to transf- convert. Skyquake looks, from all appearances, to be simpler and boxier...

Just taken it back to jet mode just fine. Nowehere near a ROTF Op, sorry.
It is, however, not a toy for Ralph and, even if they fix the problem here, the Euro G1 Skyquake version won't be either, nor the MW Starscream. Some of the stuff with the hips & elbows won't go down well.
Kaptain will manage it OK though.
As linked above, I can see what needs to be done to fix the problem. Unfortunately you need to take the jet nose to bits to do it and either my screwdrivers, hands or both aren't up to the task.
I would summon help but the most likely candidates needs to fix my wheelchair arm first!

Just had my general all purpose Dutchman in to reattach the arm of the wheelchair.
While he was here I got him to take Skyquake's nose a-part for me. The alteration described above was a simple job after that and it's a complete game changer for the toy, all TFs just fine now.
Be interesting to see if the problem is still there for his repaints

Fix is simple, wouldn't give Nick, Matt or Karl any bother.
I'll let you have a shot at my fixed one when you next visit....
... which you can do now the boys are back outside. I will instruct our people to speak.

Kapow are doing legacy Metroplex for £80 this weekend, and Skyquake for £40. Crosscut £14 Tempted by Skyquake, but I remain convinced there’ll be a Machine Wars Starscream repaint, so I shall stand strong!

Skyquake is a very good toy tempered by needing a mod to work right.

I'm going to hope for a proper Predator colours Skyquake. After we saw that recent Breakdown in toy colours I'm wondering if they do it as a running change, or a package refresh instead of a Selects release.

I think we'll end up being very familiar with this mould, and I hope they fix it before we do. Dreadwing's coming. The chest suggests there's a few versions of Euro Skyquake in there: Skyquake himself, MW Starscream and Universe King Atlas could all be on the radar and that's before we get into some of the more radio repaints
