I've come to a worrying conclusion recently. One I dare not even think about. You know how people have 'favourite' Transformers, the one you've either always liked or have an unusual affection for? For me that always used to be Prowl, until I came here... or Shockwave, but he's been so watered down in recent years his image is a long way now from wat it was back in the TFUK days. I've spent a while trying to become attached to another Autobot, but I find I can't. Then I realised that of all the Generations toys we've had over the last decade or so, it's the Megatrons I get most excited about. I can't quantify or qualify that in any way, but I seem to like Megatron a lot, and I don't know why. The Siege Megs mould is one of my favourites of the last few years, just like the CW leader was before that.

I can relate to Pinwig. Suddenly, I am excited about any new Optimus Primal toy that comes out. I don't know why. It started for me when the Kingdom toy came out.

Ah, so pre-Cybertronian war *is* the theme. Disappointing. I was hoping it was going to be "councils" and we were going to get the Convoy council, the Tripredacus council, and a gerrymandered vote for the next exclusive.
Still an odd choice for a subject, mind you. Wreckers kind of made sense, sicne the Wreckers have become their own thing by now across several different medias. And whilst pre-war makes some kind of sense given the animated film that's coming out this year, to focus this on heavily on IDW (so far) is odd considering they're no longer publishing any material. Unless the animated film is just going to be a direct lift of Chaos Theory/Megatron: Origins. Which wouldn't surprise me...

It's interesting that these are IDW pre war yet elsewhere - over last year and this - we have two (three if you include Omega Sentinel) sets concentrating on the War Dawn cartoon episode.

I can find 2 (3 if you include a repaint) 20 step Voyagers. I don't think Shockwave is a Blaster repaint but I could, possibly, see him as Snapdragon even though the 20 refers to Snapdragon's beast mode TF I've found ONE 15 step deluxe and it kind of fits the description on the Amazon page and would explain why a certain Diaclone repaint hasn't happened yet |

Why is optimus a deluxe? I mean, he's not small.
That pretty much kills my interest for this set.
I already have a good pre-earth optimus that's way too small to be useful, in the form of t30 orion pax. Better design, too.
No interest in "Senator" Shockwave. Absolutely hated this idea in IDW.
I'm having trouble saying no to Ratbat, even though I'm tired of humanoid politician Ratbats.
(He's not a politician, he's a bureaucrat. Those aren't the same thing.)
