Miner Megatron & Senator Ratbat 2 pack I was liking the Miner Megatron anyway but Ratbat from Scourge? I have major regrets about not getting the previous Legends Ratbat from Generations Scourge, which is now rare as ****, so I think I'm on board for this. Need to see Op, Shockwave and the other 3 packs. |

No interest in "Senator" Shockwave. Absolutely hated this idea in IDW. Whereas I loved it. Each to their own. I'm having trouble saying no to Ratbat, even though I'm tired of humanoid politician Ratbats. (He's not a politician, he's a bureaucrat. Those aren't the same thing.) He's a bureaucrat now, no reason he shouldn't have been a politician pre war. Where does the idea of Senator Ratbat come from? I think it was around pre the Legends toy... |

ISTR he was a senator in Megatron: Origin, which would have been a good few years before the toy.
Even going back to Marvel, Ratbat may have been a bureaucrat but he schemed his way into power (running on the Fuel Efficiency ticket!) and continued scheming while there, so the precedent for him being a politician was set early I think.

Preordered the Prime/Shockwave set - going halfers as I only want the Prime, the vehicle mode puts me in mind slightly of his mode in US Issue 1.

Miner Megs I'd have gone for as a single, but I'm going off the Ratbat. Even moreso when my collecting mentality kicks in and says you'd have to have both of these sets or neither, but one alone will be incomplete. That Shockwave is shite. Is this Ruckley era pre-war, or from the RID/MTMTE days? One of these days I'll get caught up with the comics. I think I'd rather put that kind of money into the cartoon War Dawn/Hero sets instead.

I've never liked the Megatron Origin version of events - Megatron's a tyrant, not a freedom fighter. But I do like that Miner Megatron robot. The rest are so-so.
Miner Megatron needs to be displayed with Optimus Minor.
