Yup. Horrible muddy brown recolouring. I had a look at the copies in a local library. It looks awful. Kills the line art stone dead.
See also the Star Wars movie adaptations, which are now also only available in horrible recoloured piles of shit!

No, the Star Wars adaptations (or at least the first one) is in the big Epic - The Marvel Years V1 in normal flat colours. Hopefully Empire and Jedi will be the same when their time comes.

Is it just the individual HC's that have the fooked colours then? I tried to read that version of ANH in the library but it was unreadable. The art was completely drowned out in digital brown. -Ralph

Oh yes, having moaned about the colouring for years it's only right we buy it when the correct colouring shows up.
Also contains the Iron Man 2020 annual, Spiderman vs Wolverine and the wedding.
Top, top volume!
Would love to see v16, which bridges two released volumes and has Secret Wars II/Spider Man & Zoids material in it (ASM 273-288, the earliest uncollected Spiderman, and Graphic Novel 22: Hooky), and v18-19, which would have the McFarlane stuff in it (ASM 295-325, Annuals 22 & 23)

For those who wonder what the next Avengers Epic is collecting It is the start of the run by Bob Harras and Steve Epting. These are comics for which I have some affection As a few random issues are in my collection And it will be nice to fill in some of the gaps And finally see how the story ends, perhaps, As distribution was bad to my local store And I have never read past issue three-four-four www.amazon.com/Avengers-Epic-Collection-Obsession/dp/1302910019-Jim

Hurrah, a slew of new epic collections on Amazon (not yet on the UK site) 23/01/2018 Hulk Epic 21: Fall of the Pantheon - TALES TO ASTONISH (1994) 1, INCREDIBLE HULK VS. VENOM 1, INCREDIBLE HULK (1968) 420-435 03/02/2018 Iron Man Epic Collection: Doom - no issues but given the creators and title this looks like volume 9 ending in issue 157. 27/02/2018 Daredevil Epic: Mike Murdock Must Die! - again no issues but the title and creators this is v2 #22-41 06/03/2018 Excalibur Epic: Cross Time Caper - from the title v2, starting issue 12 13/03/2018 New Mutants Epic: Curse of the Valkyries - oh now this is interesting! New Mutants Classic ran from issues 1-54. Fall of the Mutants v1 prints 55-61, Cable & The New Mutants prints 86-100. This volume, which I don't think I've read all the issues in, slots in between..... but where exactly? I'm guessing we're looking at something which includes their Inferno issues, 71-71, and stretches to just before the Cable volume starts, possibly involving some of the early Liefield issues. Curse of the Valkyries is the title of issue 80 with Asgard issues before and after that marvel.wikia.com/wiki/New_Mutants_Vol_1 Those last 15 Liefield issues can be bolstered by 2 annual crossovers and Xtinction Agenda. I await the contents with interest .... 27/03/2018 Avengers Epic: The Collection Obsession - Oh Lord, more Harras Avengers! Right let's see if we can spot The Collector in the 400s at marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Avengers_Vol_1 .... Ah, hang on, I spot Scott Lobdell & Fabian Nicieza on the authors list. This means Bloodties, which includes Avengers 368 & 369 as well as others en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloodties v22 Operation Galactic Storm includes 345-347 so I reckon this looks like v24

Ooo, I see Jim and I disagree on which Avengers volume that is. Sorry that post took a while to write and Jim posted while I was in progress comicvine.gamespot.com/collection-obsession/4045-56861/I think he's right, making this v21, but how do you explain the authors? Amazon error?

13/03/2018 New Mutants Epic: Curse of the Valkyries - oh now this is interesting! New Mutants Classic ran from issues 1-54. Fall of the Mutants v1 prints 55-61, Cable & The New Mutants prints 86-100. I await the contents with interest .... VOL. 6: X-TERMINATORS 1-4, NEW MUTANTS (1983) 71-85 OK ..... That leaves issues 86-100, the entire Liefield run of 15 issues. For the purposes of calculating a volume, which is approx 20 issues, we'll call it 16 cos 100 is double sized. marvel.wikia.com/wiki/New_Mutants_Vol_1There's three annuals during this period though. marvel.wikia.com/wiki/New_Mutants_Annual_Vol_1 The Atlantis Attacks is pretty stand alone but I think Days of Future Present rather demands X-Men annual 14 too as that's big for the New Mutants. Been a long time since I read Kings of Pain, set post New Mutants 100, can't recall if that needs any other issues as the NM annual is the first of it's story. So at least 4 double sized annuals, 8 issues, 24 total so far There's also the Summer Special marvel.wikia.com/wiki/The_New_Mutants_Summer_Special_Vol_1_1 another double issue, 26 so far. Then there's the New Mutants involvement in X-Tinction Agenda en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Tinction_Agenda which means we'll need X-Men 270-272 & X-Factor 60-62. IIRC there's some big New Mutants scenes early in X-Men 273 so sling that in too. 7 issues, total 33 Back to Kings of Pain marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Kings_of_Pain The New Mutants/X-Force appear throughout so I'm guessing all this will be in the final volume: New Warriors Annual #1, X-Men Annual #15 & X-Factor Annual #6. 3 more double issues, 6 issues, up to 39. Easily 2 volumes. There's a good stash of Marvel Age material to pad it out. Have I missed anything obvious?

What an unusual Iron Man epic. I have most of those issues from back in the day still, and it's variable stuff, though not without its highlights. I think this will include the excellent first Byrne / Romita issue which really belonged in the earlier epic, even if it would have meant collecting issues slightly out of order. There will also be the bizarre "Freak Quincy" fill-in.
I will get it anyway, Iron Man is where I will be completist with the Epics, but I was hoping for some of the Kaminsky run before this.

In the hope that my memory for what happens when is correct I think the remaining New Mutants issues look like this: Issue | Size | Running Total | 86 | 1 | 1 | Annual 5 | 2 | 3 | 87 | 1 | 4 | 88 | 1 | 5 | 89 | 1 | 6 | 90 | 1 | 7 | 91 | 1 | 8 | 92 | 1 | 9 | 93 | 1 | 10 | Holiday Special | 2 | 12 | Annual 6 | 2 | 14 | X-Men Annual 14 | 2 | 16 | X-Men 270 | 1 | 17 | 94 | 1 | 18 | X-Factor 60 | 1 | 19 | X-Men 271 | 1 | 20 | 95 | 1 | 21 | X-Factor 61 | 1 | 22 | X-Men 272 | 1 | 23 | 96 | 1 | 24 | X-Factor 62 | 1 | 25 | X-Men 273 | 1 | 26 | 97 | 1 | 27 | 98 | 1 | 28 | 99 | 1 | 29 | 100 | 2 | 31 | Annual 7 | 2 | 33 | New Warriors Annual 1 | 2 | 35 | X-Men Annual 15 | 2 | 37 | X-Factor Annual 6 | 2 | 39 |
Which, assuming 20 standard issues per volume, places the break between v7 & 8 somewhere around, probably before, New Mutants 95, right in the middle of Xtinction Agenda

I've read bits and pieces of MOKF; it's variable, but sometimes outstanding. I haven't read any of the earliest issues, but it kicks off with Englehart / Starlin so I refuse to believe it can be all that bad!
EDIT: great news that it is to be epic'd, I felt a bit priced out of the Omni and rumour was it would only ever be in that format

Iron Man Epic collections..... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Ultimate_Collection,_Complete_Epic_and_Epic_Collection_lines Volume 14: this will be 233 to 244. This looks a little light, so what will pad it out. Volume 17: this is due to start with issue 278, the first Iron Man issue in Operation Galactic storm, reprinted in Avengers epic 22, out today. They wouldn't reprint the whole lot as an Iron Man epic too would they?

I think they'd either skip the O:GS issues or include them with a page summarising the crossover; hopefully the latter because they're pretty good. I've only read the early part of the Kaminsky run (probably most of what will make up 17), but it was generally pretty good stuff and I've heard it's good up to The Crossing.
As for vol 14, it does seem slim. #244 is a double sized issue, but that still seems like not enough, and annuals 9 and 10 are accounted for in volumes 13 and 15. I'm not familiar with the earlier issues in this volume, maybe one of them is part of a small cross-over?

Oh God. I always forget that exists. I was literally thinking "there's never been an Iron Man Graphic Novel" yesterday, so I guess I blot it out.
Wasn't the Spider-man annual with IM 2020 also published at about that time?

That was ASM annual 20 in 1986, a year before this volume starts....
I make us somewhere in the region of 4 issues short if Crash was included
