SANDSTORM!!!
I WILL BUY HIM.
But yeah, those feet... Those tiny little feet...
Beautiful head sculpt.
They have still not done a True Battletrap...

Sandstorm's tiny little feet are actually very reminiscent of the G1 toy.

I have the Legacy rock lads and the fact they called one Magneous instead of Ultra Magneous is an absolute crime.

Or is it five, given that the main rotors are on four separate hubs..? :-)

A cage.
Rubber tires that turn.
Sandstorm has it all.

If it's got the rubber tyres like Beachcomber I think we might be entering the holy land. I may not wait for a sale for this one.

Me neither.
Sandstorm wasn't on The List, but this toy looks like an amazing representation of a childhood/young-adulthood favourite!

Exactly. Of the triples, I had Astrotrain and Sandstorm (metal feet) as a kid and I loved them both. Sandstorm particularly because he felt a bit of an outsider not really featuring in the comics. Terrific chopper.

Speaking of the rotor blades... This probably only bugs me, but for some reason I find it slightly more niggling that this Sandstorm still has the wrong number of rotor blades. I don't know why, but I can forgive the original toy only having four, but there is something in me that is mildly miffed that they haven't actually given this one either a period accurate rotor arrangement, or the seven bladed rotor head of a modern CH-53. I think I was just spoiled by the Studio Series Blackout being a better rendition of the same copter family.
And yes, I know that this is entirely a me thing that no-one else would even notice or care about if they did. Apparently I just can't help it. :-)

Terrific chopper. Sandstorm is by far the most successful of the 'second wave' Triples, cut from the same cloth as Astrotrain and Blitzwing, i.e., two distinct and usable vehicles modes. Springer's alt modes are boring and indistinguishable, and Broadside is... a massive aircraft carrier, which is just too bonkers. Octane is meh. Sandstorm though- two great fun actiony alt modes and he looks great and transforms interestingly. I'm really surprised and pleased they've given him his proper G1 toy face as well! Unprecedented! He's going to look great stood next to the G1 toy Pinwig gifted me years ago.

Hmm, I don't know about "Doggy in the window" my immediate thought looking at that is "Out of the darkness, comes....The SILVER-GREYYYYYY GHOST!".
But then I have a tendency to see Fuzor Silverbolt as essentially Adam West Batman to begin with so...yeah...

Transformed Chase tonight. That was a bit interesting, possibly not a toy for Ralph.
Very much suspect, now I have it in hand, that the reuse Mark hinted at will be a complete reshell of the skeleton.
