Pictures elsewhere suggest he's about the same height as Legacy Skids

Soundwave: Do I recall hearing right that he has THREE tapes? I assume Laserbeak & Ravage are repacked but could 3 mean a Legacy Buzzsaw?
Or a toy coloured Studio Series Frenzy?

Metalhawk is annoying me Surely if you're updating the deco on Metalhawk to be more toy accurate, chroming or metallic painting the chest has to be the priority? Not different enough to make me buy it again |

There isn't. The colours have just been tweaked a little, they're all still in exactly the same places.
Meanwhile someone at Hasbro decided that Geocron, in addition to the terrible name, should also look like actual poop. Well done.

Metalhawk is still easily available and went on deep discount in some places. Surely he needed to be more different than this? I actually prefer the first version (which I also didn't buy)

That's an absolute swing and a miss with Slipstream, there. I know that her first toy was also a retool of Windblade, but she's meant to be more Seeker-like - and absolutely is in Cyberverse. "Cyberverse Universe" Is it just me or have all three of the Cyberverse Universe toys this year - Windblade, Chromia and Slipstream - not exactly been representative of their Cyberverse forms? Windblade... maybe. Chromia? No. Slipstream? No. |

And I agree. They're all good stand alone toys, but as representation of that particular version? Like "Prime Universe" Bulkhead, they suck.

I'm not sure any of them are particularly bad toys of themselves, they're just not Cyberverse
And, while I was forgiving of Bulkhead because I thought the Prime aesthetic didn't translate so well, you're right, it's part of a larger pattern.
Astonishing then that the Animated toys have turned out so well!

In fact, that Chromia’s growing on me to the point that I think I might have to get one, and I prefer the colour scheme on that Tarn over the original IDW one. As someone put it elsewhere, they’ve gone for the “vibes”, if not strict accuracy. Which I guess is certainly a thing to do. |
