I do like the look of Nucleus but fear it will yellow before it's out the pack.

All of those colours in the first slide would be better than horrible discharge colour scheme Bouldercrash.

I opened Magneous last night. It's interesting seeing the evolution of this type of toy back to the Weaponisers. The balance of individual robot to break apart pieces works much better now - this looks like a robot that happens to become armour pieces rather than a bunch of armour pieces that can be configured into a robot. The Junkions did that well, and this does too. I also appreciate the attempts to texture the plastic so it's more rock like. Pretty nice figure all told and I really like the head.
I wish there was a voyager coming though to give a bit more variety to the ensemble and I'm also worried that three very different paint schemes on essentially the same mould will look a bit odd with Shard and Bouldercrash tagged on. Nucleous is nicely remoulded but maintains the same profile and Calcitron at least has a new head.

Nice new headsculpt on Geocron, but couldn't they have gone for a more significantly different colour scheme?

Bouldercrash is quite the little dude, isn't he. I like this one. Although he isn't a weaponiser type he works really well for a Core class. I think it's the chunky feet. You can't go wrong with chunky feet on a robot. The only flaw is the big spine piece not packing away neatly in robot mode, but that does a good job of holding the bike together. I think I'm all in on these new-look rock lords. They work in a way that the random robot modes and horror faces of the Fossilizers didn't.
Good comedy value in that he can turn into a club for larger robots to bludgeon opponents with.

Only just got round to ordering Bouldercrash and Magneus now they are cheap. I haven't been paying much attention to Legacy these days. I have lost track of what Rock Formers there are and I must have them all.
Those two, Shard, a white Magneus and another Core? Is that all of them?
PHIIIILLLLL!

Bouldercrash and Magneus are great! They bring a level of madness the line has lacked of late.
Shard and Nucleus en route.
MY ROCK ARMY MUST GROW.

If you have a Nucleus and a CW Battle Core Optimus, put them next to each other. Colour schemes close to a complete match!

Opened Shard tonight. Excellent figure, like him. Lovely chopper mode and there's something almost feather-like about the rock patterning in robot mode. These are so good it's possible to not even realise they pull apart into armour pieces. Nucleous tomorrow!
