Well that's a surprise, as his chum in the middle who I've also given a thread to - see Legacy United Titan (?) Magmatron tmukhub.proboards.com/thread/12077/legacy-united-titan-magmatronWe know the identities of this year's leaders so that suggests these two are in the larger size classes. Magmatron is front & centre to the poster which suggests prominance and a larger size class, while Tidal Wave needs to be a size that could combine with Megatron. 2 Commanders? Can't see Tidal Wave being Titan class and combining with a leader

Given their lack of interest on preserving play features I don't see them needing to preserve the combining with Megs thing.
Magmatron will not be a titan. That'll surely be Tidal Wave?

Zoom on the Tidal Wave portion of the picture

Given their lack of interest on preserving play features I don't see them needing to preserve the combining with Megs thing. and yet there it is on the illustration with them combined. I'm not sure they'd do that if they weren't including it as a feature They combine in the cartoon: Magmatron will not be a titan. That'll surely be Tidal Wave? But for the combining I'd have said yes....

It wouldn't be the first time a recent group illustration didn't fulfil all its promises..
We shall see.
I can't see a sellable fun toy like Magmatron being priced at the Titan scale.

Tidal Wave would be amazing at Titan Class but I assume it will be Leader or Commander if he combines with Mega. I hope he gets a wee minicon pal, like back in the day.

I'd bet Commander. And it will have the rising ramp feature intact.
THIS is a figure to look forward to. Fab news.

Well that’s certainly a little more interesting then, on both the size and the partial-combining front. Whether it actually turns out to be *good*, of course, is a completely different question. I’m just hoping that it will actually retain some play value, and won’t just be the large figures that the Nemesis and Ark have been.
Of course, what Will disappoint me is if this turns out to not be the giant whale version of Tidal Wave from Sins of the Wreckers.
So I’m going to be disappointed.

Titan sized ship mode that also combines with Megatron?
Awesome. First Titan I've been excited about since Scorponok. One of the best Armada toys given a full on giant size representation? Rock and roll!

Rather than making bits of it break off they should have given Tidal Wave a big compartment in the centre that Megatron can go into and pilot him - like a robot dungaree pouch. Like the Sinajau and Neo Zeong from Gundam Unicorn. :-)

As nice as that might be, Tidal Wave would need to be a tinsy bit bigger to get even a present day shrunken leader in him.

Titan size would make Megatron to small - unless we get a mini TW with the toy that does combine. That would then explain the image on the poster.

Every titan save for metroplex, fort max, and nemesis (which is far too early) have eventually been discounted by various online retailers.
I'm in the "wait for a sale" camp on titans.

Same.
There is no need to grab Titans straight away.
Nemesis has started to pop up in UK shop sales.

I know full well I will cave when it pops up again in a sale when I have the spare cash. Where I will find the room for it...I do not know.

Aye, have been aware of the reveal after the event announcement - thought I'd posted about it, but clearly only mentioned the Year of the Dragon stuff. I would say that I'll see what my agents on the ground can uncover, but it's most likely the news sites will get there before them, anyway. I'm more interested to see what exciting new product they'll be making available early. And whether my agents can get it to me in the UK before it pops up in the shops here (unlikely).

Armada's not for me, generally, but that... that could be tempting.
On deep discount, obviously.
