I wish they kept the regular head. The thing I liked least about the original toy was the head. The thing I like most about the legacy toy is the head.
So this is mixing the two elements I like least in a toy i now have to get in order to get the rock and the bat.

I like... neither of them.

At least this is packed in with a deluxe and core to meet the Leader price point. Compare and contrast with the new Leader Springer package.

Half a core. Ratbat is part of a micromaster two-pack that equals a core.
Which brings up a thought. The running theory is that Target Prime's Bullseye is the moldmate partner to Premium Decepticon Bridge trio's Laserbeak.
So if Ratbat is used here... where is the corresponding Rumble going?

Do I remember rightly that the Netflix spoiler packs were a bit more than a standard Leader? I'm sure one was £60 when it came out. This is presented as being a Leader set, but there's no guarantee it'll be the standard £56.

Those did have some extra stuff this doesn't. Newly molded extra accessories, blast effects, and goo.
Ultra Magnus was a leader, plus Battlemaster, with three energon cubes, and goo.
Megatron was a voyager, came with a deluxe, the allspark, a bold fashion choice, two blast effects, and goo. Both sets had very specialized and unique packaging. Both sets had very extensive paint applications.
In contrast, this set has a voyager that's just a shade darker than it's regular release, a deluxe, and half a micromaster set that's several years old at this point, and likely to be obsolete soon. All crammed into a very standard box.
So yeah, I can see why the previous were a bit more, and why this won't be.

Half a core. Ratbat is part of a micromaster two-pack that equals a core. I would usually agree with you on this point but Hasbro now sell cassettes on their own in the Core assortments. -Ralph

Those are much more complex with higher part counts, and come with large accessories to round it out.
Do I think it's worth ten bucks? No. But if you put the Siege Rumble with the SS86 rumble, it's clear the Siege version is basically an accessory and does not deserve to be thought of as a $10 toy.

It's showing how you can attach Lockdowns parts to Road Pig, I believe.

Yes, but he is a car which separates into parts that can be pegged onto other toys I believe. This panel in the instructions is showing parts of Lockdown's hood attached to the sides of Roadpig like sidecars.

That is a really nice looking toy. It'd go really nicely with Twitch, Thrash and Nightshade as a new Terran.
