Phil needs a Dalek Comic Strip special while you're in there I checked Picadilly station Smiths for you and none there. Not on Panini's webstore. -Ralph

It's out of stock at Newsstands online and FP. Has this been distributed by the Blu-Ray lot??

Going to assume a very conservative print run.
Managed to get one from FP, so if my WH Smith has copies tomorrow will empty them for chums.

I've never known anything DWM related to sell out, nevermind in THREE DAYS. This is like the blu rays all over again!

FFS.
I will check tomorrow anyway. I would assume this will get a second print run if it sold that fast.
That makes no bloody sense at all. Those Smiths bookazines hang around for months.

Usually, but I imagine the ongoing Covid issues have impacted plans. I suspect a second print run will be in the offing.

No Dalek books in my Smiths this morning. Not in the Sci-Fi mags section or the Bookazine one.
Given the original Dalek strip special from the 90s is about the most sought after special issue DWM have ever done and people have been asking for years for a new one, I can't see this will stay out of print long. Not with DWM needing every penny they can get to stay operational.

Seen many reports online of people unable to find it. Irritatingly, the official DW FB feed today advertised it with a link to the Panini store. I've checked that store since a week before release and never seen a listing. According to some folk on GB it had been there a while ago. How fucking low is this print run??? Even more mad when it's released the same week as the Dalek cartoon!

Along with it being a Bookazine in the first place. It could have been a perennial seller as a trade.
The whole thing is a disaster. Imagine the extra sales they could have got from more casual fans off the back of the Daleks cartoon.

Are any other DWM subscribers still waiting for the issue that came out last week? I had an email saying it's delayed, yet it was in Smiths last weekend. Is it all sub copies or just some?

I don't currently live near or travel by a Smiths. If a copy doesn't turn up after 14 days I'll assume DWM is lost in the post and I'll do a safety order.

If they don't show, DWM will replace them anyway. Can you imagine the madness if they leave their entire subscriber base without an issue? The subscribers are what keeps the magazine going. My only bugbear with it is that its absence has messed up my magazine reading rotation so everything is going to be out of sync.

I saw a lone DWM in Morrisons yesterday so in a fit of pique I bought the bloody thing. My subscriber copy (and everyone else's) will now arrive today. You're welcome.
I must say, I do critique Chibnall quite heavily at times, but his Production Notes piece in this issue was a genuinely touching bit of writing.
