There's a good story in there somewhere. However it is a 1 episode story trapped in a 4 parter. I'm considering picking up the DVD release of the Twin Dilemma, but eeeeh. GOOD: Colin in part 4 That space cop chap - he should have stayed on! The Doctor's Time Lord buddy The ending BAD The twins The horrendous padding in episodes 1-3 The Doctor being an unlikeable bastard for 3 eps. Mestor's costume The crow people The Doctor's costume It is just shocking that it was broadcast straight after Androzani. Seriously, if Colin has had /that/ as his opener, well...

I was the target audience for it, when it first aired. I was 6. I loved it, and was instantly captivated by the loud fellow in the funny coat. I haven't seen it since. I now feel compelled to get the DVD. After all, Timelash isn't that bad!

Unless you are the Kaptain. It causes his alcohol tolerance to bottom out, intense vomiting and the inability to climb stairs!

On another note, I was fascinated by the results of the DWM Poll. There were a few things there that pleasantly surprised me, and the demographics didn't break out entirely as I was expecting.

A day late... Here's another Doctor Who? Taken from another 1982 edition of Doctor Who Monthly where a Cyberman ponders the upcoming trend for 1983.

DWM #416 is worth it for the Space-Time Telegraph alone. I swear the Waters of Mars gag made me laugh so hard I felt sore.

New DWM reveals that not only does Andrew Pixley know everything, he can even find footage no one ever suspected existed! Fair made my jaw drop.
In other news, there was a promo New Series thing going on in the square outside work all day. Always good to look outside and see a Cybermen and sinister scarecrow frightening folk. And free tat.

There's an article reporting the existance of test footage for the Hartnell Troughton regeneration filmed during the Smugglers location filming. www.drwho-online.co.uk/news/ and search for 'Lost' Regeneration Found. The DWM staff must be weeing themselves that DWO went for it .....

OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE!
April Fool's piss me off so fucking much! What exactly is funny about making stuff up? They usually involve people laughing because you don't 'get it'. Jokes require punchlines. This kind of thing just makes me feel stupid.
And they only 'work' if played by mid-day on April 1st, not for a whole month. Panini are aware that people buy a magazine throughout a month not just on one morning?
Respect for DWM lost. I have made my feelings known, constructively, on the GB thread that the editor posts in.

New DWM is here - the one with the Cyber cover.
Best part of the issue (and not to play down anything in, it's just that this really caught my eye): In the coming next box at the ends it talks about how they've sent June Hudson, former costume designer, out for lunch in Soho. With Lord Tom. You know that's going to be a class article next issues.
Looking fwd to reading the Moonbase Fact of Fiction later.

I had forgotten the new issue had a Moonbase feature!
I adore The Moonbase. It's one of my favourites.
Looking forward to picking up the mag tomorrow.
Lord Tom in Soho? That could be the feature of the year!

Picked up the new DWM special. Sir Andrew of Pixley knows EVERYTHING. 100 pages of production notes and he's only got to episode 6 of the 2010 series!

New DWM arrived. It's the soap themed issue and it's horrible. I can see what they're trying to do but there's nothing of interest in it.

The issue is done in the style of one of those 60p 'what's on tv' type pish mags.

A very strained assumption that Doctor Who is really the same as a soap. Yes, really.
