Done a pre-order. Although I almost didn't. £13 for an issue that will inevitably get chewed up in the post due to poor protection doesn't thrill me. The '67 one I had to get from eBay was only a couple of quid more than that. I bet this one sits in Smiths for months now.

They send them in nice HUGE solid card envelopes much better than the subs packaging.

I had a flick through Vol 1 in Smiths last week. The cleaned up images are nice enough, but having the originals still I didn't buy it.

Still to pick up Vol 1 at some point.

These postal strikes may only be one day things, but they cause havoc with deliveries. I still don't have the new DWM. No 2000AD today either.

Nice. Mine might get here by Christmas if I'm lucky.

Typical. This time I go with a Panini pre-order for the 1973 zine on the grounds my Smiths last time didn't get the 1967 one. This morning, plenty of 1973s on the shelf in Smiths and my pre-ordered copy is somewhere in the post held up by strikes.

New DWM has the diamond logo and the comic now features the 14th Doctor.
Also: suddenly lots of news and input from the production. Guessing RTD2 is allowing proper access again.

The mag looks good with the diamond logo back on it, but subscribers are disadvantaged with this one. The fun of these issues is the traditional strap line. I wondered if this time they'd put 'again' on the end, but with a text free sub cover there's no way to know.

Ah, cheers. I still think DWM covers look better with the cover text.

Pleased to find the return of RTD means the return of news and teasers in his DWM production notes. Chibbers really didn't help himself by ignoring that. I'm also quite surprised but pleased to find the diamond logo isn't just for the sixtieth but is Ncuti's logo too.

Hmm. To pre-order, or not to pre-order. My Smiths currently seems to be working through a backlog. It has the 2007, 1967 and 1973 issues on the shelf. The 1967 one turned up about six months after it was published.

I see DWM are redoing their mega ranking poll again for the 60th. This time in stages month by month. But on their low-traffic website. Hurm. -Ralph

I'd put them on an equal footing. I see DWM are redoing their mega ranking poll again for the 60th. This time in stages month by month. Another fallout with Cuddly Colin on the horizon then!

Not sure about standard DWM specials now being £9. I bought the new one this morning to keep the collection complete but I know I'll never read it. Hmm.
DWM itself has the same page count but is £2 cheaper. The only difference I can see is the thickness of the stock used for the covers.

The Chronicles have jumped from £10 to £12 but I don't mind as they have a lot of reading.
Wanting on my subs copy of the latest Special. Sigh.

Subs Special of 'Showrunners' arrived today. It's quite poor this one, isn't it? Oh well, they can't all be winners.

Think that's what made me question why I was buying them. They're so frequent now that they've run out of themes to use. Some are great, like the Target one a few back, but some seem unnecessary.
