I have still never seen a Core Snarl. TFN is my only hope. Same. -Ralph

As a lover of tiny transforming robots, I am rather disappointed at the loss of core class. I do agree with the general consensus though, core was all over the place.
I do wonder how Hasbro will market all the little fellows like minions and whatnot going forward.
I do miss the scout class...

Yep - that's the price they should be, that's the price that they're worth. The only reason I've not jumped on this is because I don't think I want that Megatron...

You're welcome. -Ralph

Hmmmm. So Energon Megs is not so great once played with a bit more. The lower legs tend to easily pop off when bending the knee or straigtening, as if it was a Poundland toy.
The problem is caused by cost-cutting. There are holes for pins through the side of the knees that would hold them there securely and allow for full functionality...but no pins. So try to play with it and the legs fall off.
Fuck sakes.

When I saw Core SS86 Ratchet in Game, many moons ago, his legs were already popped off in the box. Quite soured me on the whole thing.

Fiddling with Core Cheetor makes me ponder that Tank Drone would have been good at this size. Imagine having a wee army of them sweeping across your desk.

Didn't you get one the other year? What they like together?

For all the hate core cheetor seems to garner, I am rather fond of him. The leg tabs are baffling though, don't understand what they bring to beast mode. I find him a charming little chap and he travels via pocket rather nicely .

It's a fun wee desk toy, it's just not an £11 toy. I paid £6 and that's about right for what it is.

You know... For all the hate core cheetor seems to garner, I am rather fond of him. Second best BM Cheetor for my money, behind Night Slash. Oh for Nightslash in these colours with that shade of yellow. It might be 23 years but I'm still bitter!

The "trickling out" and "where we can find a spot for them" bits makes me think that we have been correct in our thinking and the Core Class Price point has gone. They may come out as part of other things, 2 core in a deluxe box maybe?, but the c£10 assortment is no more

Yeah, that's my takeaway. Core Class as a scale will still occasionally happen (likely only repaints, no new molds), but they don't say anything at all about the continuation of the core class as a pricepoint.

No new individual Core toys on tonight's announcements :-(
We had believed there was one to come with United wave 5, delayed from wave 2. But, like the similarly delayed w2 deluxe, it may well be an ex toy :-(

If the mold was far enough along, it'll probably find itself in a multipack.
And now, this- How to save the Core Class: Make it Gobots. Both G2 and 'The Challenge Of' varieties. G2 Gobots will allow the consistent mold reuse that will help fund the 'Challenge' Gobots, as well as gibe them a Spychanger six pack later down the line.
And I probably said all this elsewhere in this thread, but alas, I am too lazy to go look so I shall inflict this upon you all again!

That's a great idea, with the only issue being that the big thing about the G2 Gobots was that they were really good toy cars. Given Hasbro have forgotten that cars are meant to roll I fear they could only be disappointing...
