Andu is not a fan of alligned continuity and 12 Primes. He came off a short run on the subject on the call a week or two back and I felt then that that wouldn't be the last time those opinions were expressed, possibly with more detail, venom and use of the F word....

An attempt to grasp on a mythological pantheon onto the Transformers executed by simply stealing some concepts from the majority real-world US religion and changing the names, slapping it all together and then decided that Optimus Prime is the thirteenth of the twelve Discp...er, Primes sort of maybe and that the Evil Leader of the Transformers Robots changed their name to Sat..er, Juda...er Megatron because that was the name of the Evil One on Cybertron... Tiresome, boring and uninventive. And manages to create revered entities that are far, far less interesting and much thinner conceptually than any of the fragementary theological systems we can trace back to early human civilisation. Tiresome rubbish. It is actually less interesting than the Sunbow cartoons "Quintessons made Cybertronians as their slaves, but it turned out they had created a sapient species who resented their ill-treatment and rose up and threw off the shackles of their abusive creators". I'm not hugely a fan of the Sunbow origin, but it is still far more interesting and has more utility in terms of storytelling than the half-a%4ed nonsense the "vaguely herded in the same direction by the marketing binder" properties gave us. The Dreamwaves comic The Fallen is hilarious however. An unexplained rectangular robot that turns into a rectangle and is entirely unexplained apart from being Evil(TM). Who also happens to be on fire all the time for no reason, a fact which it is unclear if The Fallen or anyone else actually notices. And who wants to break into a room containing something unspecified, for reasons which are never stated.
Entirely pointless, but also inadvertantly hilarious.

But michael bay made a film from him. But how many guessess that Hasbro do another same transforming Megatron tank mode toy. They need to rework that design after so many doing the same toy. At least Prime cab they have been doing the upper section spinning round for last few.

Alpha Trion might well be a decent reuse of Thundertron. Nexus Maximus..... with Combiners looking like they're coming in the next year or could they do that from bits Superion & Bruticus? |

Like... No one ever even does anything particularly interesting with the 13, either.
"This 13 Prime is a female, that's why female TFs exist and there are so few of them. This 13 is a midget smol, and that's why there are minicons."
I'm glad they got over that stupid nonsense.
But even since then, no one has ever done anything particularly creative with them that has any meaningful impact on the lore.
Any version of TF that integrates the 13 into it's lore, or even directly into it's plot, you can remove them entirely and have almost no impact.
I mean, aren't the 13 supposed to be the backbone of the Aligned continuity? Isn't this the franchise where they are so integral to the lore that it's built from the ground up around them?
Yet wouldn't TFP, RiD, Rescue Bots, and WfC/FoC be almost the exact same shows/games without them?
They had no relevance to the continuity that was built around them.
I mean, frick... Quintus Prime is more relevant to Earthspark's story than the entire 13 are to Aligned's story.
That said, for me to make them interesting and impactful is if they have a nearly mythical statis and are never defined as characters. Just as vague concepts of characters.
However, each of them leaves an artifact behind. The Matrix of Leadership. The Creation Matrix. The Hammer of Solis. The Combination Enigma.
Honestly, I think this would have a greater impact of the lore of the franchise than the 13 as individual characters ever will.
