I like what IDW did with The Thirteen in their first run, using them as a deconstruction of myths and a reappraisal of hisory - I like stuff like that. But I can completely see that I'd be in the minority there. And also I very much doubt any subsequent stories would ever do anything like that. Just as well there isn't any actual media associated with the Generations line. (Unless the Primes are going to be pushed in One and its sequels... which wouldn't surprise me.)

Fallen Dave!!!
A must-have. For once, I must eat humble pie and commend the blast effects.

After 10 years, they finally have the Transformers logo horizontal on the packaging! Yes! No longer will I have to tilt my head sideways every time I want to find Transformers toys!

Dave to Megatron looks doable. Probably almost entirely new parts, but everything looks to be in the right place.
Daves a bit broader than I would like Megatron to be, but thats a running theme in SS86 so nothing to rule him out.

Yes. It replaces Legacy United when that reaches the end of its run next year.

That The Fallen does look very nice, although I think he could probably have been more on fire if they'd really tried. But I guess it'll suffice. Shame that he doesn't have light-piping, though.
I've heard the theory that Mr. F. Allen is a pre-mold of some Megatron or other, and I can see that. Mostly from a corporate point of view, though - they're not going to make one mold for just one figure, there's always reuses in mind. So naturally this one will be a Megatron. Not sure about it being the SS'86 Megatron though - there's a lot of moving parts on his chest there that seem to be part of the conversion, and wouldn't look right on a Studio Series. Not that that would stop them, of course. Unless different chest pieces can be used to result in slightly different looking tanks...
Excited about a proper G2 Liege Maximo, although it'll be interesting to see what they can pull off for his alt mode. And what *is* that Thirteenth Prime? Are they actually going to do another Star Convoy? But without the star on his chest? Intriguing, for sure...

Excited about a proper G2 Liege Maximo, although it'll be interesting to see what they can pull off for his alt mode. This intrigues me. Liege Maximo has not shown up on any of the leaked listings. One of the remaining listings leaked leaders is now slightly suspect due to another listings leak so it could be Liege Maximo has replaced it. And yeah, what does it turn into? And what *is* that Thirteenth Prime? Are they actually going to do another Star Convoy? But without the star on his chest? Intriguing, for sure... It's an odd looking Star Convoy for sure, almost a Powermaster Prime chest Some of the answers you seek are known already. To that end I've updated page 1 with all the listings leaked material we know about. If you want to discuss any of the rest of that then tmukhub.proboards.com/thread/11170/generations-leaked-images-rumours is where you should go.

Like this better than I expected. The blast effects are indeed some of the better ones, but on the other hand in tank mode there is an accidentally-dropped-marmalade-on-a-toy vibe to them.
Nice to see the packaging is an actual box which can pack neatly and stack with other boxes. The design is a bit basic though. I liked the Legacy logo in all it's Metal glory.

Oh my. I'll admit that I never expected them to try and make a toy of the woefully awful original Dreamwave version of Fallen Dave. I mean, it was basically a rectangle with a rectangle turret that turned into a rectangular robot, that was also on fire for no obvious reason. It would be one of the sillier things they could attempt...
And yet. Not only have they tried it, but they have made a fairly good stab at it. Hideously rectangular vehicle mode? Check. "Made from boxes" humanoid mode? Check. Pre-"brewed up" in both modes? Check. (Although points off for making the on-fire removable. "Is on fire" was almost the only character trait that Dave had in the original source material. If you remove that then you literally just have some boxes.)
This all sounds very negative, but I genuinely think that this one of the silliest things Hasbro could have made. Which makes it gloriously funny. It is a very silly toy, and that makes it quite tempting a purchase to be honest. At the very least, it provokes a reaction in me, which very few recent announcements/releases have managed.
