Well hey, that Blaster is completely new, and comes out of the blue.
Also really the only one worth noting, honestly

RFC this week said there are new rumours that Kingdom has done well at retail and is being extended to five waves by spreading out upcoming releases and pulling the Blaster we saw a listing for forward from 2022.
They're saying this is from reliable leakers. It's a plausible explanation for why Blaster appeared out of nowhere.
Interesting that Blaster was apparently a 2022 Generations toy. Does that mean any cassettes he might have would be Core class?

I wonder if they'll give us Blaster in this SS86. One of my favorites due to the comics and not gotten much by way of updated figures. TR was not good.

Nice. Very nice (no visor though).
How come Blaster gets a cassette but Soundwave didn't get a Buzzsaw?!

He looks cool. I guess Eject must be related to these Studio Series core Rumbles we saw rumoured. Blaster is retail wave one isn't he? A Voyager and a Core together is going to mess with the standard price points. They must be getting ideas from the way the Netflix ones were done.

Ah ****. This isn't WFC-K36 like I expected it would be, replacing the planned Earthrise Starscream repack which got shelved. What's worse is there's now a gap between this and WFC-K42!
WFC-K36 ?? F0697 Kingdom Voyager Starscream (Earthrise Repack) WFC-K37 F1624 T-Wrecks (Target) WFC-K38 F1625 Red Alert WFC-K39 F1617 Tricranius with Blast Effects (Pulse) WFC-K40 F1209 Mirage & Grimlock (Amazon) WFC-K41 F0924 Road Rage WFC-K42 F1208 Sideswipe & Maximal Skywarp (Amazon) WFC-K43 WFC-K44 F???? Blaster & Eject

Blaster is Kingdom Wave 5 January and then carried over into Legacy wave 1 Now I've sat down and thought properly about that, of course that's what was happening. Also, this Eject won't be core sized, will he, cos these cassettes will be the same size as the Siege ones, presuming Blaster is a partial off Soundwave. So in effect, this is a voyager with half a Micromaster pack. What of the other cassettes though? There's no mention of them in the leaks and there's too much remoulding to do to fit the Selects MO.

I'm not as happy with Eject. He's probably gangmolded to Blaster, so any chance for repaints will end up with an additional Blaster, so it makes more sense to me for Blaster to be packed with Ramhorn or Steeljaw, as Eject immediately has three repaint options people will want asap (Rewind, Rosanna, and Flipsides). Eject is the only autobot cassette with noteworthy repaint options. Meanwhile, neither of the critters have well know or highly desired repaints.
I'm also not a fan of him being translucent. Why is he clear? Is a not clear version being released with Ramhorn or Steeljaw so he's clear to make him different from the standard?
I do like the mold a lot more than seige rumble/frenzy, though.

I was going to talk about Eject today, thank you for the prompt! We know Blaster's intended for Legacy too so it looks like he's the pull forward toy from that line. Eject was described as Energised Eject yesterday ( Twitter: https://twitter.com/TFU_INFO/status/1454129536317153283) as in "infused with Energon" which would seem to tie in with the different types of Energon, Energon Weapons and Energon Monsters that we know about from Legacy. I'm not 100% sure he's gang moulded with Blaster, the grey possibly, but as we've seen it's now possible with the cad files used to transfer parts to another mould sprue (Sideswipe & Sixgun's missiles) to use with another toy. I can see WHY they've gone Eject here, he missed out in Energon, and strongly suspect they'll go Rewind somewhere later. Having done clear versions in the main line as part of the gimmick they can then do solid versions in Selects. So I think there's a fair bit of stuff going on here that kinda makes sense in the bigger picture.

That all makes sense. A solid Eject somewhere else in time seems a cert. It may be that Soundwave didn't come with a cassette because that was what Walmart were using as an incentive in their Netflix pack, but looking retrospectively that would have been a very good way to get Buzzsaw done. At this point a Buzzsaw/Rewind 'spy cassette battles' two pack would make good sense, but for that to come in selects it would need something else with it to make it worthwhile for Hasbro. Ramhorn and Steeljaw seem a stretch because they'd need hefty remoulding or new moulds.

Maybe they can be swapped out, but if such a complicated tooling like a micromaster could be so easily swapped around to be joined with other toolings, then i'd think we'd have seen it at least once already, in the micromaster class.
It'd have made more sense to swap out the bat and bird, to give us a frenzy/buzzsaw set, instead of frenzy/wingthing.
I mean, I really hope Phil's right. Rosanna and Flipsides aren't very likely, but they'll never happen if the mold is perminantly stuck to Blaster. If it's not attached, at least there's a chance.

Anyone manage a preorder for Blaster then? Pulse now have him as OOS, but I got one in at Star before they went the same way. FP & Zavvi still allowing preorders.

I have one in with Pulse. If Blaster is also in Legacy wave 1 he should be plentiful soon enough. I can see stores ordering less of him in the Kingdom packaging.

Annoyingly there is very little stock of Blaster in the Eastern kingdoms. The shops I’ve been in to only got enough to fulfil their preorders - nothing left for general retail. Oh well. Patience. It will, indeed, be plentiful soon. And then it will be mine. (Well, the Conjunx’s.)
