Incorrect - Jhiaxus got a toy in 2003. Yip, and The Fallen got a toy too, in the Titanium range. And Primus, arguably. So, third/fourth comic character to get a toy then. -Ralph

I'd say Primus counts. You could say the planet guy is just Cybertron Primus but the Gold Rodimus was definitely Marvel inspired.

Hmmm.
Um.
Er.
Yes.

I'm actually finding some of the discourse on the IDW boards really interesting, as several posters are pointing out the large amount of characterisation and character development that did exist in Furman's run that seems to get overlooked (as he has a tendency to have everyone talk the same).
Astrotrain got a character arc, even - when did he ever get comic focus before?

I made that! (Synopsis, Errors, most of Items)
Someone edited it to take the snark and snideness out, but heroic people edited it back in. Yay Wiki mods!

I just noticed that in a page from that interview that Kup now has a cigar. -Ralph I hadn't noticed that either. Now I wish I hadn't. Not only is it a cigar, but it appears to be an unlit cigar of the half-chewed variety - usually deployed as lazy shorthand for "veteran Master Sergeant". I cannot imagine a reason that a robot could need a cigar, or anything that they could usefully do with it. More to the point, Kup who was last seen pickled to prevent him deteriorating further after having been driven quite insane after being trapped on an alien planet alone for a considerable period. So, er, - Cigar, er, what? Also - Drift is a nobody who the PR machine is attempting to tell us is a Somebody. Pretty much the Autobot equivalent of each years winner of Pop Idol. Karl

There seems to be a Nick Fury-fying of the Autobots going on, Kup has a cigar and Perceptor has an eye patch. I think Drift should be known as Leona Lewis from now on. |<o>|

I can now confirm my suspicions were correct. This series is not for me. Picked up the first two issues today to sample the series and... well I doubt I can add anything that hasn't already been said. The end of #2 with Devastator gave me Dreamwave flashbacks. I will be having nightmares for weeks.

Roadbuster's been on the burgers! -Ralph Either that or he has really been pumping the iron, but only on his upper body. The upper arms are totally out of proportion with the rest of the body that we can see, and given the height of the tunnel the rest of his body and his legs have to be significantly smaller than his upper arms. There is no way that he can fit inside that tunnel if his entire form is in proportion to his arms. It just kind of leaps out at me as terribly, terribly wrong for some reason. Karl

The end of #2 with Devastator Who doesn't appear at all in #3. Yes, there was a cliffhanger ending with Devastator who does not appear in the next issue and did not actually need to be there except so we'd go "look, it's That Guy!".

Yes, there was a cliffhanger ending with Devastator who does not appear in the next issue and did not actually need to be there except so we'd go "look, it's That Guy!". So, um... That doesn't make sense. How can you resolve the cliffhanger in the next installment if the cause of the cliffhanger does not appear? I can't figure out how that would work. After all, the point of a cliffhanger is that it is a moment of spurious danger at the end of an installment - usually resolved in an equally spurious manner at the beginning of the next ("Ah ha! I have a Sonic Screwdriver!"," I have invented a ray that makes Flash invisible", "Go to your room!" - things like that). But I can't see how you can resolve it without the actual McGuffin of the cliffhanger appearing. Karl
