I'd pay good money for a comic that ends with Megatron manning a supermarket till. Imagine the cover illustration for that issue: Megatron sitting behind a till and wearing a green store assistants apron with a pin badge of his name on it while serving Optimus Prime who has popped in for a loaf of bread! I can't the image out of my head of a massively over-sized Megatron crouching behind a tiny human-scale till.
Pinned to his chest is a badge saying "Hi! My name is... MEGATRON How can I help YOU DIE?"
With Rumble at the end of the till, glumly doing the packing.
Possibly someone in the corner is taking Ravage for a walk.
I'd draw it, but I'm rubbish at art.

Very pretty art though, but then AHM is a good looking book anyway! It just lacks something in other areas.

Okay, this is crazy. Bear with me. AHM 12 will reveal... AHM is an Evolutions tale set in the parallel universe first seen in Spotlight Mirage. You know, like an experimental What If? sort of dealie thus giving the publishers a back door. Also: the guy wot rote Spotlight Mirage is a nom de plume of Shane McCarthy or vice versa. not only does that (in a strange way) make an aweful lot of sense...you've now got me hopeing thats what happens |

Ish 7 preview, at least the first four pages being by EJ Su. The first four are bits of the Insecticon origin. It's a bit "bleurgh", with the exception of page 2 where Thundercracker demands they put the Swarm out of their misery and finds Megatron does not care.

It's a flashback. Indeed it is, and seems to establish that Starscream et al stayed with the F-22 modes for the period leading up to AHM and then traded down when it came to the actual invasion of Manhattan. You'd think that when they were going into the major combat situation they would want to stay with the airframe with the better aerodynamic performance. Maybe it is Starscream's idea of a "handicap" to prevent them outclassing the humans so much that it takes all the fun out of it. : -) Karl |
