Indeed. Thank the lord, as if that was the only game in town I'd be very unhappy.

"All Hail Megatron.... Fun Publications in Disguise"
Looks like they used the old Hub Plot generator. Not even the art can save it judging by the preview.

I could'nt make much sense of it, but I love the artwork to bits though. I buy the propaganda poster cover variants myself.

The Trevor Hutchinson covers are superb. I'd love to read a series that fit the mood they create.

More Decepticons attacking humans!!!?! Well if they'd start Hailing Megatron already, the man could move on...! I do like the "it's a train, we're saved!" moment though, but am saddened Astrotrain isn't going "BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA BLBLBLBLBL!". Ah well. Other Transformers comics are available. Furman IDW, Animated IDW, Titan, Animated Titan next month... Embarrassment of riches!

Wait wait wait.
AHM was known about before Devastation came out, wasn't it? So that'd be it getting pitched/asked for at the same time as Escalation was running? How would they be at an "all-time low" on the third mini? And why would they then have let Devastation come out as it did, if they wanted it to be more reader-friendly; why only change the format for Revelation?
And IDW must be narked that direct-market sales on AHM #1 are slightly less than Dev #1...

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm not expecting anything impartial from the author of the series. He has a vested interest in it. My main concerns with AHM are not to do with the jarring shift in tone but simply to the fact that we have had three issues now and FUCK ALL STORY.

Forget the story, Giant Astrotrain traps himself underground after explaining his train mode. I remember when Astrotrain was tactically smart. Cos it was last issue.

I've just read issue 2 and my opinions are rather divided by it. As a TF comic it is utterly hopeless what with its almost complete lack of TF's in it. If it was however a normal non-TF comic it would be a bit better as the human character development, while a bit on the shallow side, is an OK read. That is however not what we brought the comic for and as such it falls flat.

I can only pre-order ahm from amazon, but the reviews here are not ...er very impressed by it! They don't have the one human character there who would revel in this "The end is nigh" guy, oh they'd start repenting. Are there, so far in the comic any cults worshipping the decepticons?? that would be funny, I like cultists

There's some forward progression here, that makes me happy; Megatron and Starscream having a character scene, one that appears to reflect their IDW relationship and history, that makes me happy too; and Andy organising his mates into a disciplined group who become UNdisciplined at the first sign of escape, bwa ha ha. (Astrotrain opening and closing the issue is good too) And I like Hook, I mentally hear his dialogue as being said in a snooty butler voice.
Unfortunately, there's not enough progression and we're now into our third issue of NYC-smashing while attacks on the rest of the US go unseen. We want to see the further attacks.
We also want to see some less dull humans.
And what's Astrotrain doing, having turned from a diesel freight train (Dev) into a steam engine? It's hardly "in disguise", is it?
It's not doing well. And I might be in a more forgiving mood if I hadn't just read Captain Britain And MI:13 and The Boys in quick succession before this, both cramming more into 22 pages.

I had a looksee at the 5-page preview online.
I get the distinct feeling that the writer just wanted to write the modern-set live-action Transformers movie he wanted to see.
