If it turned up now I would sling it in this thread without a second's hesitation! I think we have had this discussion, probably with a poll, before. My yardstick for "is it a Transformer?" is "has it got the Transformers name on it", "is it released by Hasbro and/or Takara?" and "does it transform?" Not a Hasbro product! |

The Oxford English Dictionary defines 'tat' as 'rubbish, junk, worthless goods'. Some Hasbro Transformers toys fit this definition better than many authorised Transformers products made by other parties. Perhaps a less disparaging word is called for, if the term is to cover all non-Hasbro products.
