I should be there also assuming I don't get lost in Birmingham as the bus will drop me off a bit of a way from the venue.

I really want to but i've got work the next day *sigh* if only I could teleport!
still it might not stop me, i'll just have to work out how to travel there & back in the same day. Does it start on friday for a bit, as that would make it a bit easier??

The convention doesn't start on the friday but Hubbers traditionally gather for drinks and food on the Friday.

I'll be there too! Is anyone staying over on the Friday night? I know a lot of people did last time and am contemplating it myself this year.

I won't be. Because I only live about two hours away from Birmingham by bus I'll have no trouble getting there in the Saturday morning and getting back the same night. So, I don't need to get there the night before.

Which hotel are you all staying in and how are the rooms? I'm thinking of doing this too. Any info will be helpful!

Yesterday I told my father and sister that I was going to Auto Assembly and they laughed! It turns out they are convinced that Transformers is nothing but a kids cartoon and its fanbase consists of five year-olds. I tried to explain to them that there are many TF fans in the world that around the thirty-something age but they wouldn't believe me.

I just booked. Im now very excited this will be the first time Ive been to a UK convention besides a Transmasters meet up at a church in the middle of nowhere (it might not have been but in my mind it seemed that way) back in 95 or 96.
Now I have to find some cash and decide if Im going to phone in sick or risk trying to get time off for it.

If it's the same middle of nowhere as I think it is, then it would have been one of Gavin's meetups. If so, I was there!!
