The articulation on the AMS Spidery-Man line looks poor, with the exception of the one that does not come with a gimmick or weapon. So buyers beware!

Dead or obscure characters get a fig all the time. He is both.

I got a Venom from that line the other day. I needed one for my Dark Avengers line-up, and they were going supper cheap. I can see why. To look at the figure is very nice, but as the Good Doctor says articulation is reduced. Shoulders are ok, but elbows and wrists have no swivel. Body is static. Knees bend, but no leg swivel. And only forwards and back on his hips! No pulling the splits for Venom! Ok on display though, once you find the right pose.

And hey, The Amazing Bag Man! If he's Peter Parker under there, I believe his full title is the Bombastic Bag Man. -Nick

Revelation: I think I want to complete my Legends Wrecking Crew more than I want the new Sentry (secure as I am in the owning of two, not one, but TWO excellent Sentry customs thanks to marvelous American customisers).

Piledriver popped through my door yesterday. Nice figure. Very big. He and Thunderball (same mold of course), very big. A touch too big maybe? I know, not like me to complain of a big figure. Like him, very much. He's got a nice grin on his face. Two down, two to go.

Marvel Select Ultron arrived today, thanks to my as yet still not exhausted voucher haul. Haven't had chance to open him yet, but he looks very nice. Very menacing!

I can't wait for his glorious new legends figure! The Chin of Doom! No way they'd give him a chin that big if he was really dead!

My Marvel Universe collection has taken a few enorgements over the last few weeks. The F4 Herbie 3 pack, Kang, Mandarin (in green), the new Hulk, and I've completed my set of Avengers movie stlye figures. Huzzah!
Seems to be an annoying trend with MU in that they don't do all the F4 in the same outfit. No dark blue/white trim Invisible Woman. No Herbie 3 pack style Human Torch. Grrrr. I have a second Herbie 3 pack style Mr Fantastic on the way 'cos I can swap his head for a Johnny head. That'll be my first ever self customised figure!!

Well yes, kind of, but Torch did wear that style of uniform and I NEED all the F4 in the same uniform!

My second Herbie 3 pack Mr Fantastic is here! & he's not Mr Fantastic anymore!!! Johnny's head fits perfectly. It's a fairly beefy looking sculpt, so looks pretty freakin' good!!!
My 'all members of the F4 must be in the same style outfit' OCD is now settled! Huzzzah!

The Iron Man Armoured Adventures line has turned up in Home Bargains. I have never seen this line of Iron Man toys before! £3.

I thought the MU line had died, but to my surprise I saw new ones in an Asda today: Beast (Cassady style), Nighthawk, Hercules, Angel and Puck! £9 though!

Is it me, or have I been waiting an age for Wrecker, Bulldozer and Sentry?
In other news: Select Captain America arrived the other day! The 'Disney Store' one, classic look, non-movie. Yeah, he's ok. Seems bit lanky somehow, like his thighs are too long. Shield doesn't stay on well, and can't be held well, limiting all important 'holding-shield-up-in-the-air' poses. Considering Select are all about 'display' and not about 'play', that's narked me off a smidge. Generally a good figure though. I don't collect Select as such, but needed a good 7" Cap to partner Select movie Iron Man against the HUGE and MAGNIFICENT Select Hulk, a figure I adore and fear.
I also have the recent modern Thor in Select. Got the Select version becauses it was the superior sculpt (IMO) to the very similar Legends modern Thor, but was same size, same price etc. Now Select Thor, being same size as the Legends version, looks good with Legends (perhaps a tad too bulky), but next to 'lanky Cap' and bulky movie Iron Man he looks too short, almost stumpy! I wish they'd get the heights right... although I except I'm ever so slightly obsessive about such things.
