Has there been anything said about the blu-ray range? I've just realised that although I pre-ordered 12, I didn't do 14, and that seems to be out of stock everywhere now. These sets usually go out of stock on Amazon when they reach their original release dates, but come back in again just before they actually do come out. But I get twitchy when I can't get something. Zoom usually have them right the way through, but they don't have 14 either.

I imagine the people making the blu ray range have their minds concentrated on other things at the moment. We can expect delays on these kind of things.

Today is the 100th anniversary of Patrick Troughton's birth?
I didn't know it till reading @mwtroughton's book but I'd met Patrick more than once: This bearded figure used to occasionally board the #71 bus I'd ride home from school in the mid 80s.
When I read Patrick's biography and saw his Dad used to live in a flat above a garage in Ham I went "Hang on...." and made the connection!

Grr. Mine still says arriving April 1st but it hasn't dispatched yet. Hasn't come back into stock on Amazon either.

In current circumstances, I thought Amazon was not dispatching non-essential items so I was very surprised to get the email today.

No, they're still working as usual. They've just said they'll prioritize shipping for essential items.

As long as the spines match I don't care. Hopefully that means this version fixes all the problems with the first one.
I've just had a look and seen that Amazon have charged me for this, so presumably it's on the way. I'm more worried about Season 14 now. I don't have a pre-order down on that and there's no where to get one.

How far down the physical production line s14 got could depend on stock levels. Production may be paused (so not taking orders) if the places making the discs etc are shut down.

"There has been another extraordinary development in the mystery of Mars Probe 7. The two space capsules, Mars Probe 7 and Recovery 7, which have been locked together in radio silence, have now separated. But there is still no communication from Charles Van Lyden, nor from astronauts Michaels and Lefee." This week on Fifty Years of Doctor Who we're watching episode 266 The Ambassadors of Death: Episode Two 50yearsdoctorwho.blogspot.com/2020/03/266-ambassadors-of-death-episode-two.html

Having read RTD's wee pre Rose bit of fiction and despite how much I enjoy Night of the Doctor - I find myself a little miffed that McGann wasn't used for the 50th special.

I still can't help but feel that the BBC aren't really paying attention to what's going on with these bluray releases. We know the S12 reissue was a more limited run to make the numbers up to the same as the subsequent sets - but it sold out again before it was even released. It's already going for over a hundred quid on eBay. I think it's ridiculous they aren't acknowledging the fact these sets are quite hard to come by and upping the numbers.

What? The s12 re-release is gone already? It hasn't even been out for a week! I haven't even had time to watch any of it yet.
Again, I say the way these things are put out is maddening. I'll never have s18 and s19 as I didn't have cash the months they came out yet decade old dvd's remain in print. It will be impossible for many fans to get a full set. Money being left on the table.

What? The s12 re-release is gone already? As far as I can see it never actually made it out to buy; it sold out on pre-orders months ago and never came in to general stock.

Cracking bunch of freebies in the new DWM. This is another £9.99 issue but it doesn't seem to be a Smiths exclusive this time as subscribers have got it?

THE TIMELESS CHILDREN +28 rating has come in at 5.17m (Source: the GB ratings thread). So at least no episode dipped below 5m. Phew.
Though Jodie's adventure in her cupboard has probably rated higher!

My subs copy has just arrived and it had all the gubbins. -Ralph That's what I mean. I wonder if this was supposed to be another Smiths special, but something changed. Whether than be corona related or whether Smiths don't want any more £10 issues. Seems too short notice to be corona related. Devil's Armada is a weird choice for the freebie BF download, although being a Season 14 special issue it's apt. That Hinchcliffe Boxed set has always maintained its very high price, so there's even less reason for anyone to buy it now just to get the other story.
