Julie Gardner and Jane Trantor involved again too.
RTD coming back was not something I had forseen. The Beeb must have smothered him with cash.

It must have been a lot of cash - he is a giant of a man.

Also worth noting, it's being produced by his company so an outside studio doing Who for the BBC.

Started Mindwarp on the ol' Blu-rays today. The shift in tone back to the more violent feel of Season 22 makes The Mysterious Planet really stand out as 'old' Doctor Who.

Arc of Infinity proving interesting, and on the whole far better than my last watch of it. I've found JNT in part 4 at long last, I've spotted where the youth hostel shows up in the chase sequence, found Earthshock's trooper Collis on duty on gallifrey and spotted some interesting control panels whose origins I'm attempting to clarify. Going to Amsterdam and having an entire episode with no location filming is pretty unforgivable though! But the chase has been a joy working out what's where. There's a couple of spots that neither of my sources - Mr Bignell's book and locations website - seem to identify. Story is still a mess, but I've enjoyed this visit much more than I was expecting to. Episode 4 still needs a bit of work, might be Snakedancing by Monday if all is well It wasn't. I got stuck trying to sort out the location sequences for episode 4. Then covid hit. Then my brain refused to function to write anything. But over the last week I've been engaged in a little blogging activity for a couple of weeks time. Not much actual writing, a nice bit of tarting up in the main. I wouldn't have managed that months ago, and am firmly of the opinion that the flu jab has boosted my immune system and kicked SOMETHING out, Thank You Lord. Today after all but finishing the THING for two weeks time I opened up the Arc of Infinity file and finished it off. Done. Sorted. My notes said the file was last edited last edited 21/3/2020 when I gave up trying to push it forward. Finished 22/10/2021. So SO PLEASED!

Reached Mindwarp part 4 this morning on the trial Blu-ray watch. Always had mixed feelings about this story. Not a patch on Varos and I suspect it suffered having to fit the trial sequence. Still, ep 2 is definitely the low point.
On to the Vervoids next week!

ANYTHING is an improvement on Animals.
I did know about Headhunter but it isn't the most important anniversary that day

Interesting... okay. It was the start of the Five Faces of Doctor Who season, so would probably have been when we all saw An Unearthly Child for the first time? And that was followed by the first episode of series 2 of the Adventure Game.
What a night!
5.40 - Doctor Who 6.05 - The Adventure Game 7.20 - Blake's 7.

35 years of the Vervoids this week. Belting first episode only let down by the silly scream in the cliffhanger. Until that point, aside from the carrot juice scene, Mel is a perfectly good companion.
