Do the blu rays have reversible covers with the classic logo? I recall having to switch the covers around for a few Dr Who DVDs a while ago.

The DVDs do, but the new Blu-ray sets are cardboard book style cases, there's nothing to reverse.

But the individual story BDs do don't they?

Yes.
Anyway, with Jodie not going until the Autumn 2021 Special I doubt we'll see what comes next (with possible style guide changes) until late 2021 or sometime 2022. The current style has been there since 2018.

Talking about VHS covers reminds me about something that has troubled me recently - if Who is getting a new producer for 2023, does that mean another design shift and enforcement of a new style guide on merchandise? It's bad enough having the 13th Doctor logo on the classic Blu-ray sets, but if they change that to another one before the run is complete I may internally combust with rage. My Blu-ray sets don't quite match anyway as two of them (the non-limited editions) are the slighter smaller, narrower and slightly different shade of grey from the rest! I will burn down hell itself if the individual animated Blu-Rays stop doing the reversed sleeves though! -Ralph

Individual Blu-rays I'm not worried about as they're the wrong size to go with the DVDs anyway, so they'd never look right with the DVDs regardless of the spine to me. It's the 13th Doctor logo on the spine of the Blu-ray boxed sets changing that worries me.

We knew about Galaxy 4 as reliable sources said animations of Evil of the Daleks, Abominable Snowman and that were coming.
Great to *finally* have a Hartnell release in this animated run.
Ralph cannot wait for HD Nimons!!!
I wonder which version of Shada will be on s27 or if it will be newly "complete at last" for the nth time?

Autumn 1986, what a time. Monday is the 35th anniversary of Mysterious Planet 1 and the start of Target 2006.

I watched the extended edition of part 1 on the bonus disc. The extra footage was just in the extras on the DVD wasn't it? It's stitched in very well. It's a great episode, that first one. Proper old school Doctor Who structure. I do like Robert Holmes. The Mysterious Planet is my favourite of this season.

Loose Canon did a good recon for that. With the six minutes of episode one, an official 'pure' recon would be well worth looking forward to if it has all the film trims in.
