Alas, I can't have sausages any more.
BUT! I have bought a packet of gluten-free sausages from Waitrose that I intend to try tonight.

Fantastic Marks & Spencer Outside Bred pork sausages. I can highly recommend them! Thank you for the recommendation. I purchased their Pork+Apple sausages as they are 2 packs of 6 for £4 at the moment. Oven roasted those bad boys with some parsnips after rubbing with olive oil, salt, pepper and paprika. Half way through took off the juice and made gravy with vegetable stock and some onions, garlic and mushrooms. Mashed up some Maris Pipers with some butter, milk and spring onions for some awesome Champ. The 6 people that partaked all cleared their plates. So Ta!

I forgot to mention the oven roast seasoned carrots too which were loving chucked on top of the sausages half way through roasting.

I learned, from Heston Blumenthal last night, that "sausage" is derived from the latin word for "salt". And, apparently, sausages were invented by the Romans!

yeeeees, and that mad italian bloke added coffee beans to his sausages, question is would it work with gravy or be too strong?

I thought it was cocoa beans, which is even worse!
None of that food looked particularly appetising but it was entertaining nonetheless.

Yes, many of the guests seemed to enjoy Heston's custard spurting up at them during the dessert course.

LOL! shows how much I was paying attention to the sausages. well I can see how they would work with pork as raw chocolate (or cocoa) and coffee are quite bitter, like gravy granules.
what I was dreading most from that was the fish sauce, as romans used that with everything.nasty.

I had some ASDA Cumberland sausages last week. They were rubbish. I should have known. ASDA's own brand stuff is usually a bit poo.

Sausages remain Piglet's fave food. The volume she can put away is truely amazing. She a machine. A sausage machine.

A sausage machine has a completely different meaning as far as porn films go!
