I thought MiTB was moved into its own PPV event. Would be great to have it at mania though, as its always a showcase of great talent.
AJ VS Daniel Bryan would be good, but afaik Bryan has not been cleared by WWE though it could be a work.
Could get Ryback VS Goldberg too if there's a want for it.

rumour is that Daniel bryan is there tonight for Raw, whether or not hes cleared or its just a speaking role who knows, hes shaved his head and trimmed his beard agen tho!

He announced via twitter he has retired due to medical reasons.
Not sure if it's genuine or if it's a work.
Guess we will find out tonight.

Finally watched the Rumble. What a gyp. The abuse of the rules was ridic.
Loved Y2J hanging on so long.
Would have been better if RR stayed out of the ring and this meant he didn't lose the title. Totally unbelievable the way it went down.
When the ladder came out, why was the guy not eliminated by someone pushing the ladder over? Sure the fall to the floor would have been high risk, but it would have been epic.
And all the wrestler's strategies were redic. I'm happy to suspend disbelief in so many ways where wwe is concerned, but this just felt so orchestrated.
On the plus side, The Rock returning to Raw and going off script was excellent, even if his timing is still getting worse with each appearance.

Been loathing Y2J since his return, like an awful uncle trying to be cool. Needs to heel turn after his rematch with A.J. Styles.
Gutted about Daniel Bryan, and watching him at the end you look at Roman Reigns and realise how little a connection he has made with the fans.

I think it's because these days I only watch RR and WM and the only time I watched wwe regularly was when I shared a house with a guy that watched it. That started mid-invasion, ending around WM18 (the rock/hogan one) so seeing HHH and Y2J in the ring together was a big noatalgia kick.

So Shane vs Taker at WM, HiaC. This could be as one sided as Taker vs Maven. It had better not be Taker's last WM match.
Recently learnt about the Hogan vs Jarrett WCW debacle at Bash at the Beach 2000. Classic stuff, up there wih the fingerpoke of doom in terms of nonsense from the Monday night wars.
Except that this was all fuelled by Hogan's need for too much creative control. If you haven't seen it, don't read about it, just watch.

saw Jarrett wrestling at PCW on Saturday, was weird but good, was nice to see one of my heroes up close and personal!
on a side note there are rumours that Taker is going to put his career on the line at Mania, read into that what you will but either way its gonna make it interesting, would you really have Shane ending Taker's career on one hand but on the other would he really only come back for 3 months??
Apparently he's back because media laws in China have changed so he cant operate his business interests the way he used to. Maybe we will find out more tonight as he's due for Raw!

yeah Preston City Wrestling, the british scene lost a true great last night, Kris Travis died  in other news WWE NXT will be performing shows at Download festival this year!! And its not takers career, just his last wrestlemania meaning the uk tour is sort of a goodbye chance possibly? Really looking forward to Takeover Dallas and Mania now!! got a PCW show on sunday night followed by mania so that's cool! |

Mania is a bit of a headscratcher this year, the depleted roster hasn't helped, but I cannot fathom the reason for a Shane/Taker fight as well as a Lesnar/Ambrose fight either.
I'm sure Styles/Jericho will be pretty good and the fact that my boy Zack Ryder will actually be in Wrestlemania makes me happy. Could the Ryder Revolution start again? No. No it can't. Until the match I can dream though!

I went to the Smackdown/Main Event tapings at the O2 in London. Lots of focus on AJ Styles. He also had a dark match against Alberto Del Rio. There was a 2nd Dark match between Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. Despite being advertised, The Undertaker didn't show and was replaced by Big Show in a tag match with Kane against the Wyatt family. I think this match ended up being taped for Main Event. Some random video called "Natalya on Titus O Neil" aired on the tron which turned out to be an anti smoking PSA. youtu.be/fSG_tkaDgwgNo Roman Reigns and No New Day on Smackdown. Shame. Lots of boos when Roman's pic appeared on the tron. Ambrose/Zayn VS Jericho/Owens tag match was pretty solid. Quite enjoyed my first ever WWE live experience. I've been going to wrestling shows for years, and this is the biggest I've been to. |

Looks like he was pulled twice then. There was a statement from WWE that Undertaker was going to work the Tuesday in London and Wednesday in Newcastle dates only after the original cancellation news. Still, Kane was on show and I appreciate his entrance more now that I've experienced those pyrotechnics in person.
We were in some pretty expensive seats, and the view was good if you didn't mind cornerposts. A lot of folk didn't stay in the seats and tried to gather round the entranceway and ring. That arena should have been more packed out than it was. The upper levels were much more packed and probably had a better view.
I have more pics and vids to put up online, but being careful to wait til Smackdown has aired with the longer vids I shot.

I thought the whole takeover event was class, enjoyed it much more than Summerslam, which worringly means the last 3 major NXT events have been more enjoyable to me than WWE main flagship equivalents.
