Godzilla again... King Ghidorah Kiryu MG3 Jet Jaguar! Orga Gorosaurus Space-Godzilla Bagan (based on the original concept for an unmade movie, before toho gave him an "official" design) Godzilla 1974/75 Megaguirus The Gigan

Definitely effort well spent on those - especially the Kiryu. I can see how that would be very difficult to get right - what with all the greebly bits on that suit - but I think that you have captured it very well indeed. (The Goji and line-sketch of King Gidorah are rather nice as well).

Thanks man. I think Kiryu's design is probably the best of the three MG's, but God damn, I think it'll be a while before I try and draw him again. Oh, FYI, that doesn't mean Kiryu is my favourite MG. The original will forever hold that honour. I think I'll just edit the complete ones into that post, along with any others I might do...

And in a rare occurrence of colouring continuity, the colour of Ethan's clothes match Yomtov's colours from Pretender to the Throne.
Of course, since I deliberately made Golodbug's head blue, looking back that seems like an empty gesture now.

Makes you wonder why, doesn't it? Badass with his twin BFGs, you'd expect the punters to lap it up.

I had another Mosaic I helped out on released today. Here are the uncoloured lines, which I was really quite proud of despite my continuity error, and to be honest I felt that the colours ruined them.

I really like the art, doing such a piece with a static pov and making it interesting must have been quite the challenge! I don't think the colouring is that bad, it is certainly competant, though there's some strange use of contrast between characters, as if everything was coloured in isolation. Honestly though, it feels like something I've read a hundred times before, there doesn't seem to be much new the script brings to the table, and it is very continuity-specific. Obviously nothing to do with you of course!

To be honest, that's something I've picked up on with a lot of MF's scripts. None of them really seem to do anything new or even a little bit different. My problem with the colouring is that it's so damn dark. A lot just seems to be washed away in a wall of shadow. And it's really very grey. Granted, there are three white charaters in there, but still, what would be the purpose of also bordering the panels in grey? There has just been a lot of decisions made in the colouring that I can't see the logic behind... Thanks for the coments on the art, too. Indeed, the script was even more static than it is here. It literally asked for the Autobots to be waiting outside while Ratchet looked the 'body' over, then the final panel he's called them in. Given that the key line here is "instant diagnosis" I thought it would make more sense for them all to be present, and have most of the inner monologue happen while ol' Doc Ratchet is preparing to get started. Then he looks at the body once, and BAM! "It's not Sunstreaker". I think that one of the reasons I'm so proud of my lines on this one is that I took a script which was asking for basically the same thing over and over and (I'd like to think) gave it a visual flow.

I see what you mean about the colouring. The background is so dark things blend into it. I didn't even realise Prime was supposed to be there!
He does look a bit odd in the first panel, with the head going off the page. I'd have been tempted to fudge the scale a bit

Part of why Prime is so obscured in the art, is I really didn't want to draw Prime in a Mosaic until I'd done a Mosaic about Prime.
Silly, I know.

An interesting mosaic about Prime that isn't just 'hurp de durp honour'? Now that is a challenge!
