It's been on the schedules for well over a year competing with Star Fleet to see who can get put back the furthest. I'm waiting till I see it in my hands but since I've already got a Star Fleet DVD, a John Byrne Avengers trade and Planet of the Daleks 3 is coming out in colour then this year could be the year of miraculous product appearances.
It is S1 & 2 in a set. I've seen S2 this decade and it isn't bad. Paul Heal magiced me a set from somewhere. But it's to eBay with S1 when this comes out.

Never seen the series, but I loved all the books when I was in school!

I was an avid fan back in the day. I did pick up the prior S1 release and was pretty let down. I think most of what I remember was from series 2.

S1: watch the first couple and the last 2. skip the rest. You'll want to watch much more of s2.

Never seen the series, but I loved all the books when I was in school! I saw bits of the first season but I didn't really like it that much. What I saw of it felt rather plodding. By contrast the books I enjoyed far more. It was the only time I read an entire trilogy in two days when I was at school. I borrowed the first two from Stirling Library on a Friday evening, went back on Saturday morning and borrowed the last one and by Saturday night I have finished all three. I think that remained a record during my school days - even Gibson's loose "Sprawl" trilogy didn't grab hold of me quite so much. I haven't gone back and read any of John Christopher's work since - I have a strong suspicion it would turn out to be something that only worked for me because of the person I was then. Karl

Now that is something to behold. I love me some Tripods for sure, but I don't have those comic strips. I hope they post the rest!

I'm sure Big Finish will try at some point unless the rights are difficult to get.

Oh my word you've set my heart aflutter there. Imagine that. I'd buy that without question. Ken Freeman released a soundtrack a few years ago so they could even get him to do the music. The actors' voices would have aged, but that's never stopped them before.
Gosh to have that series complete as an audio! Hell yes!
Then they could do John Christopher's prequel as an original drama. Reading the Tripods books got me into his writing. He was doing superb post apocalypse stuff ala John Wyndham for decades but never got proper recognition. Death of Grass is just as good as Wyndham's books.

Excellent stuff! I wonder who owns the copyright on these... They need a collected edition!

The art in this is sublime. Love it. The story is improving too now they've got over the football jokes. I wonder who wrote it.

What's happened here? they stopped ten days ago at part #9 and have gone on to Red Dwarf stuff.
Most frustrating.

Good show! Not that special effects in Red Dwarf aren't interesting, but finish what you've started chaps!
