Finally got out of the house this afternoon so I caught up with this week's podcasts while doing some tidying in the garden. Excellent listen chaps, nice one. Almost fell off a ladder laughing at Ralph's incredulous reaction to the TV detector van supposition, but good lord the man knows his Star Trek. Equally, Andy's careful containment of Ralph's unbridled enthusiasm makes for a great double act and it's always good to listen to people who know what they're talking about. The charity shop purchase comic reviews are a great idea. I look forward to more!
I shall be opening my busy book on Friday as that's when my three year old pal will next be round.

We listened to this driving up to Scotland a couple of nights ago. We laughed (TV Detector Vans indeed! What a carefully planned running joke!), we cried (tragedy of the so-called 'expert' on Trek novels beige wrong), we were lost (Trek novel Section 31), we were saved (now we know who Optimus Prime is!). It was all here.
I think Joy enjoyed it more than she thought she would. She was.. uncertain it was a positive alternative to the audio book she set up when we left, but the Boy Wizard was put in his place by two grown Scotsmen discussing toys, books and films.
We both approved of the positive comments regarding libraries but wish to point out that libraries will order any books you like. Just ask. Absolutely no need to spend your own money on the latest Trek novels. No excuse.
Also Mrs M was surprised at how Scottish one of the presenters sounded...

Great work, I really enjoyed it! The washing up zipped by.
I look forward to more on the Star Trek novels especially, and The Uncanny Oxfam is a great name for that feature.

Thanks guys, I am sure both features will return soon, as well as other exciting ones as well (as and when we think of them).
There seems to be a never ending pool of Trek novels to choose from!

Yes, it shares that trait with less potent dangers like nuclear waste.

I have read and own some. Including ones by James Blish.
I am with your co-presenter. Modern ones have vanished up their rear ends.

Perhaps we could record an episode here at the end of the month. I could be New Andu.

Don't worry.
When next we meet, chances are we will do what we used to do and record two episodes in one go, easier to keep to schedules.

Yeah, picked up a Blue Yeti in classic Cyberman colours. Andy That is rather spiffy. It is like a sort of mini-Cybercontroller isn't it. Karl

Cheers.
I think the American Ninja II part suffered a little, just from the gap between recording, but my favourite was Burns attempting to avoid answering my question about the Trek novel.
