Up to The Agenda. Silverbolt has said Blackarachnia could be "reprogrammed" - you creepy bastard!
Also amused that the Tripredacus Council say in private to themselves that the Decepticons are their ancestors, which S3 then pretends was never said. But they're creepy evil people who look cool so it's all forgiveable.

Cutting Edge is love - cyborg Velociraptors with eye-beams! Explosions! Base invasions! Depth ex Machina! Optimus singing!
Also Silverbolt getting enraged at the very idea of Cheetor being near Blackarachnia, despite her obviously having no interest in the bod - my Silverbolt Is A Prick list grows ever longer...

See, I'm rather fond of Silverbolt too. He's proud, noble, self-righteous, judgemental and completely unaware of his own flaws. That's why I think he plays so well off characters like Rattrap. Would I want to be stuck in a room with him on an extended basis? Good grief no, but I don't have to like someone to think they make a fantastic character and a good addition to an ensemble cast. If anything it is Blackarachnia I've never liked. Slightly on the trampy-er side of the femme fatale she is just a character that somewhat annoys me. I've never really understood the fan fascination with her.

I think I'd like Silverbolt more if the show and other characters seemed aware of his flaws. It's never really presented as a bad thing that he helped clear the path to the Ark (none of the cast ever mention it!).
By contrast, I like Sentinel Prime because of his flaws which the show gleefully points out.

Anyone else remember watching GMTV's showings of Beast Wars during Good Friday, Easter Monday, Bank Holidays and other such times? (GOD the infrequency was a pain in the butt...)

Good times.
Though it annoyed me so when they cut bits out.

I remember all that. Didn't know they were cut at the time, though.
I managed to watch nearly every episode on TV during those holidays (well, from the series they showed at least), and the only time I missed some were when I went on holiday with my parents and didn't know it was on. Caught the end of an episode by chance in the caravan at the end of the week, and blamed the whole thing on my folks.
I used to be quite an angry teen.

Ah, those were the days. Waiting twenty minutes between each half of the episode, sitting through adverts and Mr Motivator.
I've actually still got my off-air recordings, even though I've got the videos and DVDs.

I only caught Beast Wars when Channel 5 repeated some of the episodes on Saturday dinnertimes a few years ago. I must get the DVD's sometime because I can recall actually liking the episodes that I saw.

There is no R2 release of the full series, which annoys me no end but hey ho.
Never saw any BW at Easter. I got into it via the VHS tapes. Caught a few on the later Channel 5 airings, which is the only time I've tuned in for a TF show on telly.

US and Australia both have DVDs, Australia apparently has the better ones if you can play multi-region.
Oddly, we have Beast Machines on DVD despite no Beast Wars...

Might I suggest obtaining dvdshrink which will let you make either region free copies or backup the files to your harddrive and play them directly.

I used to sneakily watch Beast Wars in a guilty fashion since it wasn't 'real' Transformers. Oh those were the days!

I remember catching all three parts of "The Agenda" one Easter, and never seeing BW on ITV again. Until I met another BW fan who had internet access about three years later I thought BW ended with time and space collapsing around a triumphantly roaring Megatron...

Did you never see the Beast Wars videos in the shops? They collected S3 (except Optimal Solution).

The VHS tapes were actually my first introduction to Beast Wars. So I saw it rather backwards, starting with the arrival of Depth Charge and so on until the battle with the Nemesis. It was quite a while after that that I finally saw the first season of the show.

I too saw it backwards, minues the openings of s2 and s3. A strange way to watch the show, but it does explain why I am very fond of S3 even though it gets bashed a lot: it was what I saw first and hooked me.
